Gukie: Hoseok, we need to talk.

                                  Hobi: we do?

Gukie: Just meet me at the park outside my house, i'll text you the address.

Hobi: okay... should i be worried?

Jeongguk sighs, looking at Hoseok's recent text and not responding. How could he be so oblivious?

By now, Jeongguk was quite angry, and when he was angry he would start ranting. Especially when it came to his close friend. He knew that if you don't like someone in that way, fair enough. But to be rude about it? No.

Jeongguk storms out of his house, making his way to the park after a while of waiting in his room. Hoseok should be there by now.

Once the park within sight, he could already see Hoseok sitting on the park bench his back faced and his leg resting on the other, tapping away in nervousness.

He was wearing his usual vintage rock tee and black skinny jeans, and he still had the same messy chestnut brown hair Jeongguk remembered, but the only difference was they way Jeongguk thought of him. He felt like he didn't know him well anymore.

Hoseok could hear Jeongguk's footsteps, so he turns around with a smile to see the cute little boy he hoped to see.

He happy stands up in front of Jeongguk.

"What's up Gukie? How have you been? I got something for you. You know i've been--" Hoseok starts but is interrupted rudely, making his smile fade.

"What the fuck Hoseok?" Jeongguk bursts, not knowing how to express his anger towards to Hoseok, so it just came out confusing.

"I-"

"Why did you do it?" Jeongguk questions loudly, taking Hoseok aback.

"Do what?" Hoseok asks, clearly confused.

"Oh, don't act like you don't know." Jeongguk responds sarcastically.

"What is i---"

"Why do you have to be so rude to Yugyeom and reject him, he's my best friend you know that? I've known him since I was little, couldn't you have been just a little nicer?" Jeongguk states, having to tell him, since he just couldn't figure it out.

Hoseok's expression changes immediately, as he looks off to the distance, "Oh." was all he could say.

"Just tell me why. Why did you do it?"

Hoseok doesn't reply, looking down at his feet. Jeongguk staring at Hoseok, searching for answers.

"Do you know that he stayed home from school because of you? Do you know how heartbroken he is? You were his first crush." Jeongguk explains, trying to make him feel bad.

Hoseok still had nothing to say, looking like a shy puppy.

"Well?" Jeongguk shoots, obviously not satisfied with the silence Hoseok was giving him.

(...)

"You know what? I thought you were the guy who was nice and friendly to everyone, but i guess not everyone's an angel. You---"

"Maybe... because I love you instead!" Hoseok bursts.

Jeongguk's eyes widen.

"You're the one I love. I don't love fucking Yugyeom. I'm in love with you. I have been ever since I saw your cute moves on that dance floor, and when we bowled and ate together, and ran away together. I love you. Do you know what it feels like to have the person you love introduce you to their friend? How could I be nice to him? I was angry because you never thought of me romantically, so I took it out on your friend" Hoseok explains, looking like he was about cry.

Jeongguk stands there. Speechless. It was his turn to be silent.

"Why can't we be together? Do you like someone else?" Hoseok questions, leaning in closer, his eyes glistened with tears, that haven't yet fallen.

Jeongguk breathes out, looking emotional himself. But he slowly nods in response, making Hoseok try to comprehend who it might be.

Hoseok feels more melancholy, "Don't you like me at all?" He questions, looking up at Jeongguk with longing eyes.

"I- " Jeongguk pauses, taking a breath. "I can't, it wouldn't be right. I can't do that to my best friend." Jeongguk mumbles, looking down at his feet.

Jeongguk looks around awkwardly, not knowing how to deal with the situation, "i have to go." Jeongguk bursts, turning around and starting to rush away.

Hoseok grabs Jeongguk's wrist to prevent him from going any further. Not adding words to it, he swallows his spit and stays there holding onto to his wrist for only a few seconds.

Jeongguk doesn't try to pry his wrist out of Hoseok's reach, but instead faces his back to him and stays frozen where he is.

Before Jeongguk could think of his next move, Hoseok pulls Jeongguk's wrist and pulls him into his arms, their faces now only inches apart.

Jeongguk breathing heavily and staring into Hoseok's sad eyes.

Hoseok instantly closes his eyes and leans in, pressing his lips onto Jeongguk's, with passion. But Jeongguk didn't react, he had no emotion at all, nor did he kiss back. He just had a straight face as Hoseok attempted to kiss him.

Hoseok pulls away slowly, detaching his lips from Jeongguk's, and looking down with sadness and guilt, knowing Jeongguk didn't like it "I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself." Hoseok apologizes.

Jeongguk was stuck in the same frozen position.

"I'll go." Hoseok states, wiping away a tear that just fell down his soft cheek with the fabric of his sleeve, beginning to walk out of the park.

Jeongguk didn't stop him. He didn't know what to do.

He breathes heavily, watching the leaves move with the wind. Looking down and exhaling, looking over at the park bench to see that Hoseok left a bag.

He walks closer to the bag and slowly opens it, it contained a warm taco wrapped in foil, Jeongguk's eyes start to glisten, as he picks up the note taped to it

'I promised you i'll buy you a taco...'
