The next day. I parked and walked up to the school and walked in the hallway. I saw Madison and we locked eyes and I smiled at her, but I kept telling myself not to fall for your victim in your mission. I can't do this, but I have to get close to her, I have to make her trust me and I guess its working.

I was walking by and overheard her friend say something to her, "Who is that? Do you know him?" "Yeah, that's Riley. He just came here two days ago."

I reached my locker and opened it and I looked that way and her friend looked at me and I smiled and gave a small wave, "Well, he is cute." I overheard her say.

Madison shrugged, "Yeah, I guess so."

"What do you mean 'I guess so'? He is cute. Do you like him?"

She looked at her friend in shocked, then when she was about to answer the bell ringed and I couldn't hear anything all I saw was her lips moving.

I turned to my locker and grabbed my book, closed the locker, and grabbed my bag. I walked into the class room and sat down, then Madison came in, with one of her friends and her friend was smiling when she glanced at my direction and Madison looked at me then looked away quick. I wonder what is up with her. Did they say something to her that made her be weird around me and act so strange. I was going to go up to her, but class started.

Mr. Edwards clasped his hands together to get our attention, "So, did everyone do the assignment?" Everyone said yeah in a low tone.

"Good, I would like them up here on my desk." He said as he tapped the front of his desk. Everyone got up and put the papers on there.

I got up when Madison did and I stood behind her and she turned around as he put the paper down. We almost collided, we were so close and we were looking at each other like we were connected some how. Then she looked down and walked away without saying anything. What is up. After class I am figuring out what is going on.

"Riley! Riley!" Mr. Edwards called my name once I was coming back to reality.

I shook my head to get a clear of what he said, "Yes Mr. Edwards?"

He gave me a confuse look, "Is there something you need, Riley?"

"Um...no sir." I said still in a daze.

"Then get back to your seat." He said as he waved me to go.

I turned around and people were looking, even Madison was and when I looked at her, she looked down at her paper. I sat down at my seat and Mr. Edwards went to lecture about the problems on the boards and giving us another assignment. Then the bell ringed and I grabbed my stuff and head out of the classroom. I waited by the door till she came out, she finally came out and was walking pass me, I grabbed her arm and I felt a surged of electricity through my fingertips all the way through my body.

She looked at my hand being on her arm and then slowly looked up at me. I'm guessing she felt the same electricity as I did.

"Riley, what are you doing?" She asked confused as I was pulling her away from the hallway to another hallway that was empty, so we could have some privacy.

"I was wondering, what is up with you? Is there something wrong that I did to make you act weird?"

She still had that confuse look on her face, "No, I don't know what your talking about. I'm not being weird."

"Yes, you are. You won't even look at me and when we bumped into each other, you didn't even say a word to me. What is going on?"

"Nothing is going on." She pronounced clearly.

I sighed, "Are you sure?"

"Yes." She looked down at my hand where it was still on her arm.

I slowly let go of her arm. "So, were still on for lunch at the cafeteria?" I asked shyly.

"Yeah, that was never changed." She said in a polite tone and gave me small smile, "Well, I better go to my locker and get my books. See you in class." She said as she was walking away.

"Yeah, see you in class." I said in a low yelling voice and she turned around, walking backwards and nodded at me with a full smile. I smiled and looked down. I walked straight and turned right and went up the stairs to our classroom.

At lunch time, I walked into the cafeteria. Grabbed a trey and walked towards the line to get food. I grabbed an apple, vanilla pudding, turkey sandwich, and a lemon Gatorade. Then went up to the cashier and paid. I started to walk away and I saw Madison waving at me to come over. I walked over to their table and sat down where Madison was pointing me to sit at. She looked at me, when I sat down beside her and I looked at her, there was that connection again, then she took a breath and looked at her friends and asked them something. For some reason I couldn't stop looking at her, it was like I was paralyzed, I don't understand why. I wasn't like this before. It just felt like the world didn't exist and all was there was her, like she was the spotlight. Then I hear this voice, but I didn't recognize it, it was like the voice was far away then I realized it was her friends saying something. I turned to look at her, "What?" I said as I looked lost.

"I was saying. Where did you move from?"

"Oh, I live here, I just changed schools."

The friend looked at Madison and then back me and gave me a small smile. "So, what happen? Did you get into trouble?"

"A little." I admitted.

"But he is here to make a fresh start." Madison said with a smile and looked at me.

Then it started again, like there was nothing there just her. Then I heard that far away voice. I turned to look at her friend again.

"What was that?" I asked confused.

"I said, that must suck to change schools, where you don't know anybody."

"No." I turned to look at Madison, "Its totally fine now." I said with a smile.

She smiled at me and looked down while pulling a hair behind her ear.
