Spy on A Mission

Chapter Twelve

Monday came, I did not want to get out of bed. I did not want to see Madison, because I know my hormones will take control of my brain, but I also will have to see Seth. I can already see that this day will suck.

I got dressed, I wore a plaid shirt with black jeans and my grey Vans shoes. I got in my car drove to school. I stepped out of my car and grabbed my back pack. I saw Madison talking to her friends and I saw Seth giving me the evil eye. I took a breath and started walking into the school, I got to my locker and saw Madison coming towards me, I looked back at my locker and started grabbing my math book.

"Hey!" Madison said cheerfully.

"Hey." I said nonchalant and gave her a convincing smile, then walked away.

I walked into the class and sat down at a desk.

Madison walked in a hurry and she saw there were seats occupied by me, she sat at a desk next to the window in frustration.

When the bell ringed Mr. Edwards called me over.

"I just wanted to let you know that we're having a meeting after school. I hope you can stop by."

"I'll try to." I gave him a convincing smile and left

I was walking in the hallway going to my second period class, I heard footsteps behind me and I knew exactly who it was.

"Hey, did I do something wrong?" Madison said as she caught up beside me.

"No." I said as I walked off. I just could not look at her and all those feelings will start back up again, which I did not want to happen.

After English, I walked to my locker to put my math and English book in there.

"Yo, Riley! You should totally come to the party." James said.

"What party?" I asked confuse.

"My party, since your on the team I'm inviting everyone especially hot chicks." He said moving his eyebrows up and down.

"Okay. Sounds great." I said unexcitedly.

"Awesome. " He says as he slaps my shoulder. "It's on Friday and it's a hangout that we go to, it's down by the beach and it starts at six."

A girl walks by giving him a wink and he kept looking at her, "Catch you later Riley." He said as he was catching up to her.

I just shook my head and laughed. I looked to my right from where I was standing at my locker, I saw Madison looking at me and I stopped laughing and cleared my throat. I shut my locker and walked away to get to class.

On Friday I went to school, did my classes and then I had my math triathlon practice. I walked into Mr. Edwards class and I saw Madison there, I did not know she was in this. Its going to be awkward because I have been avoiding her after our swim and how I blurted out that she was beautiful.

I sat down at a desk and Mr. Edwards explained the problems that the triathlon might have. We started writing it down, they were easy, but I loved it.

"Okay, we will meet up next Tuesday. You guys have a nice weekend." He said pleasantly closing some books .

We all got up from our desks. I grabbed my back pack and walked out of the room.

"Riley!" Madison called after me.

I just stopped in the hallway and took a deep breath, I did not want to face her. I just need time to figure out everything.
