Chapter 22: Inkopolis Square

Lizer's POV

We've arrived at the Square and it looks so fresh. Different inklings with cool new gears I've never seen before, hairstyles and weapons.

"Oh look Lizer there's Crusty Sean!" Ella said pointing to the food truck.

"Hey Sean! " I greeted the prawn

"Yo if it isn't Lizer and Ella about time Inkopolis's power couple show up." He said as we fist bump.

"Mom can I have one of those?" Eliza suddenly asked pointing to the sandwiches. Even now Eliza has a big appetite. I thought.

"Can I get one Sean ?" I asked the previous owner of shrimpkicks.

"Sure just hand me a special ticket and your kid there can get one."

Me and Ella look at each other shrugging."Tickets? We don't have any yet." Ella said and Eliza pouted.

"Well I'm sorry." He apologize

I lifted Eliza up and carried her. " Sorry squiddo but your mom and I can't get you anything here yet. Since we're new here we are basically un fresh squids right now." I explained

"But you are the freshest squids I know!" She said honestly.

Both me and Ella smiled at her." Not here but we'll soon be after we help Marie out." I said kissing her cheek.

Eliza nodded and we said goodbye to CrustySean getting back to the reason we're here.

We walked around and we could see the arcade, all the gear shops where squids can buy and brag about their new clothing. And like the last time we visit the Square for its first Splatfest. Eliza was excited and wanted to tryout everything that interested her. To bad she wasn't old enough yet.

"Calm down princess! Just a few more years and you'll be able to Turf and join the other squid kids." I said putting her on my back to free up my hands.

"Even with Big Sis Tsubaki?" I nodded." Yup even her!" I encouraged surprised by my little girls crush at the shy yellow inkling. It reminds me when I was at that age minus the whole Wereinkling thing.

We neared the Tower and found Marie standing and waiting for us. She was wearing a beautiful kimono. "Hello Marie!" I greeted the inkling.

"Hi Lizer, Ella and little Eliza!" Marie greeted waving warmly at us.

Eliza looked down at me," Mom who's that?" She points to Marie.

"What? She doesn't know me? Are you for eels?" She said shocked.

"Eliza this Marie from the SquidSiters. Don't you remember,when you were younger I always sang you one of their songs before you go to sleep." I reminded her.

Eliza looked thoughtful for a sec before a look of realization hit her." Oh yeah I saw you on Tsubaki's laptop once!Where is the cheerful one?" She asks meaning Callie.

"Eliza!" I said warning her that she was being rude! But I was curious to know where the pink inkling was too. "So where is this place you needed help with?" I asked changing the subject.

"Oh it's this way and I'm not the one who needs helping." She said being vague. We walked into a sketchy part of the square till we stopped in front of a shop that reads Grizzco Industry. I hugged Eliza close to me not wanting her to get hurt or anything.
