Chapter 33: Collecting Zapfishes

Lizer POV

After arriving at the plaza I pulled out my phone for the picture Marie sent me. The picture showed me where the drainpipe or Manhole was. It was right next to Sheldon's new weapon shop. And it was. Just as I was about to jump into it a chill went through me and I swore I could her Ella's beautiful voice yell my name in anger. I panicked and looked around but didn't see her. I sighed in relief and squid my way into the manhole.

And let me tell you it wasn't pleasant. Popping out I took in the sites before me.  Rocks....lots of rocks! And also Marie in a kimono?

"Marie?"

"Oh hey agent K9." She greeted and I frowned at the name.

"Don't call me that." I said with a low growl. Marie huffed rolling her eyes.

"Where is your wife? She's nicer to deal with than you." She commented looking behind me. I growled and crossed my arms." Unfortunately Ella was to busy to come." I lied. Hopefully Ella's parents can keep her busy while I get all the zapfishes back and find out what Silva was doing.

Aside from her attitude towards me she was also looking for something, but the question is. "What was she looking for?" I mumbled to myself.

"Agent K9! Are you even listening to me." Marie's voice brought me back from my pondering.

"I'm sorry what did you say?" I said giving Marie my attention. "And I told to stop calling me that."

She sighed but repeated her words. "I said we should suite you up. A new agent secret agent needs to look the part and what you are wearing is..." She paused looking at my attire up and down. I was wearing my favorite olive jacket with my squid-stitch cap and cream hi-tops.

"What?" I questioned looking around my clothes to see if they got dirtied coming here but it wasn't. "

Marie shook her head." Nah there's nothing wrong with your clothes it's fit for turf wars not agent business. So wear these." She said handing me the agent clothes.

"Why aren't you and Callie doing this ?" I asked while putting on my hero suit as Marie called it. It felt weird from my usual clothing but it was basically the same minus the hat and shoes witch were futuristic looking.

"I don't know where Callie is." She said sighing." That's why I need your help."
When I was done she said 'perfect' while mumbling. "Not bad for hand-me-downs. I ignore the comment as she spoke again much louder. "Alright much better." She said with one of her rare smiles. I recall Jason used to fawn all over Marie's one of a kind smile. Too bad he was too much of a chicken-fish to confess.

"Great, now how many of these zapfishes have the octarians stolen?" I asked and I followed Marie further into her base.

She hummed in thought." Hmm about 31 if you included the great zapfish." My jaw dropped.

"31!!" I yelled out and Marie nodded." Yup so you better star getting them back agent K-9! " Marie said playfully pushing me forward into octarian area.

"This is Tentakeel outpost. It's the first base of the Octarian army. My sources say that there are 4 of the 31 Zapfishes here. "

"Exactly who is your sources?" I wondered. To which Marie replied with. " you'll find out later."

I proceed to look and ink around for a Kettle since that's how the Octarians work, with their strange technology. After a few minutes I found and inked my first kettle. I stared at hearing rattling noises from within. I saw a bit of flashbacks of me and Tanly trying to escape to one. It made me shudder. I quickly shook my head getting rid of those thoughts. It's in the past and I'm stronger now! I told myself as I leaped into the first kettle.
