XIX. MAD PERSON

The next afternoon at school, Christine asked kung totoo nga daw na may fiancée na si Jinn. So, kinwento na pala ni Jinn kay Gab, or lemme say, maybe, he asked advice about the situation.

"So, totoo nga"

"Siguro? I mean, bakit mageeffort pa si tito na puntahan si Jinn, I know it's his dad pero sudden talaga yung nangyari"

"Eh how about you? Ano naman feeling mo sa situation?" She asked.

"Why are you asking me? Labas ako dito"

"Pao, please, we all know na may something sa inyo ni Jinn" she looked at me "Pao, okay ng wag mapunta sa akin si Jinn basta sayo siya. Naglet go pa ako tapos sa iba rin naman pala ending"

"Don't give me something to think about Christine"

"Pao, someone will steal Jinn away from you. If I we're you, I'll not let that happen" then tinalikuran na niya ko. Pati exit dramatic. Jusme.

That night sa cafe, di sila nagpunta. Krista also asked kung nasaan sila but I have no idea. Si Christine lang nakita ko the whole afternoon and paggising ko naman kanina, note na lang ni Jinn yung nakita ko sa sofa table.

"Now where is everybody?" Krista asked "nakakapanibago, so ganito pala kapag grumaduate na kayo"

"Ang drama?" I laughed "don't worry, lagi kami pupunta dito hanggang sa magsawa kana sa faces namin"

"Nako, bigyan niyo rin ako ng pahinga kasi baka nga magsawa ako sa faces niyo" she laughed "so, you're going home alone no?"

"Yes. I think that will be the case" I smiled

"Will you be okay?"

"Oo naman. Hello? Magisa rin naman akong umuuwi non e"

"Or ako lang nasanay na lagi kang inaantay ni Jinn?"

"Busy lang siguro. Pupunta naman yon kung hindi"

"Sabagay"

Bell ringgg~

We looked ni Krista kung sino yung pumasok sa pinto and we saw Jinn.

"Oh, you're here" Krista said and I looked at her then napasimangot yung face niya. I looked at Jinn again and I can see na may kasama siya. A girl, maybe it's her. "Pao, sino naman yan?" Krista whispered.

"I don't have any idea, don't ask me".

Then lumapit sa counter si Jinn.

"Hi" he greeted us.

"Hi mo yang mukha mo" Krista said then pumasok sa kitchen.

I chuckled then looked at him "hi?" I smiled.

"It's her. Yung sinasabi ni dad"

"Ohh, so you met her. Well, obviously since kasama mo siya"

"Sorry, wala na akong nagawa, kasama siya ni dad kanina" he looked so apologetic

"Why are you apologizing?" I laughed "Crazy. Anong order niyo?"

"Meron bang kape na pwede ko ipainom para umuwi siya magisa mamaya?"

I laughed "Jinn stop, please be nice. She looks cute and kind naman" I looked at her tapos nagsmile siya "puntahan mo na siya, hatid ko na lang frappe niyo okay?"

"Sige" paalis na si Jinn pero bumalik pa siya "nga pala Pao, wait for me. Ihahatid ko lang to tapos i'll walk with you papauwi"

"Don't worry about me" I smiled "sige na, balik kana dun dalhin ko na lang yung frappes" he said okay tapos umupo na ulit siya sa table nila.

I don't know what to feel. Maybe it's okay? Or not? I think she's nice and she's all smiles naman. She has this kind aura na makakasundo ko e. But, at the same time, looking at them or i'm uncomfortable sa nakikita ko? I don't know if I'm even allowed to feel this?

"Are you not jealous?" Krista asked

"Why would I?" Liar Pao

"Sino ba naman kasi yan?"

"I don't know eh. Ask Jinn na lang Krista. 2 frappe nga pala"

"He better behave. Sa team mo ako"

"Baliw"

Hinatid ko na yung frappe sa table nila. Jinn introduced me as his special friend with special connection na hindi mabubuwag ng kahit na sino.

"You're his neighbor too right?" she asked

"Unfortunately?" I smiled "kidding, yes. Why?"

"Tito told me about you. Pinagluto mo daw kasi sila pero hindi niya natikman"

"Ahhhh. Something happened kasi"

"Pao, can you please sit down? I want to talk to you" aww pati name ko alam? Or dahil nakita lang niya dito sa name tag ko?

"Eh i'm working.." i'm looking at her with hello what is your name look

"Denise. You can call me denise"

"Ahh okay. I'm sorry Denise, I'm still working eh"

"Just for a moment?"

I looked at Jinn and umupo na rin ako beside him. Customer pa rin naman to.

"I will not let this conversation last long Pao, I just want to request na, hmm, can you please stop seeing Jinn?"

I was shocked and napatingin na lang kami ni Jinn sa isa't isa.

"Denise, what the fuck are you saying?" Jinn asked. "Stop being rude"

"I'm not rude. I'm just doing what should be done" she looked at me "you understand it naman diba? I mean, I'm his fiancé and I don't want you around him. Would that be okay?"

Kitang kita siguro sa face ko na gulat ako sa request niya "I don't know what to say" I said and smiled.

"Just say yes, i'll never meet him in school, in this cafe or kahit around the neighbourhood. Also, say na hindi kana rin makikipagusap sa kanya and you'll avoid him na parang may sakit si Jinn. Ayos naman yon diba?" Denise

Is she crazy? Anong pinagsasabi ng babaeng to? "Can I ask you something?" I asked

"Sure, go ahead"

"Are you mad? I mean, crazy or something? Jinn is my friend and I don't give a fuck if you're his fiancé. You have to respect the people around him. Kasi, we're here first. You don't have the right to tell us to avoid him lalo na't may fiancé siya like you" tumayo na ako. "it's frustrating to have you as fiancée" I said to her then I looked at Jinn "I'm sorry sweetie, you don't deserve this" then tumalikod na ako sa kanila.
