Mausam's POV:
I.. I don't know how I am feeling right now. I just can't believe my ears.

Did he said he likes me more than a friend?

Yes! And he also has asked you for prom.! My conscience reminded me. He was still on his knees.

"Mausam! You are scaring me."

"Yes."

"Huh?"

"Yes. I'll be your date." I said taking the rose from his hand and smiling full heartedly. He got up on his feet and at once hugged me. I felt him inhaling from my hair just like he did that day on backstage. We had hugged many times.. But this time it felt different. I felt warmth in his hug.

Ananta's POV:

I left for my office. On the way I saw that today market is more crowdy than any other day.

"Why is the market crowdy today?" I asked my chauffeur.

"Its Raksha Bandhan tomorrow sir. Every sister is buying Rakhi and every brother is buying gift for their sisters. That's why its crowdy today." He replied.
I nodded.

"What gift have you bought for miss Mausam sir?" My breath hitched in my throat.

"I... I forgot."

What have you done if u knew? My conscience asked me.

"Oh" I heard him replying.

I had never bought a gift for her. When I was younger I used to hate her because I thought she snatched my parents from me. But as I grew up I came to know the reason and I felt ashamed. I went to live in hostel so that I don't have to always see her innocent face.

But since last two years I have came back I have thought about asking her forgiveness but .. I just don't know how to do that.

In these past years I have became very distant from them. I always feel insecure about having a close relation with anyone.

I don't have a close friend even girlfriend. I never believed anyone. But deeply I know, its my fault. Not everyone is cruel, especially my sister. She's so innocent and pure. she's trustworthy.

Yesterday when I ate pasta with her she was shocked. Hell I was shocked too!

You should buy something for her.
But what? I don't know her choice.

"Turn back. We are going home." I ordered my chauffeur.

"But.. Is anything wrong sir?"

"No.. I forgot something."

"OK sir." He turned the car. And within 20 minutes we reached home.

Just as I was walking through the main doors I saw Mausam and Karan. They both were happy. Mausam was more happy than any other day.

Seems like feelings are mutual between them.

I stood still there. They came towards me.

"Hey Ananta bhaiya. You are back so soon?" Karan asked.

"Yeah. I forgot a file."

"Oh"

"Maa... We are leaving for college." Mausam shouted from living room as mother was in kitchen.

"OK beta. Take care" mom replied. Mausam turned towards me. Smiling.

"Bye bhaiya." She said smiling and started walking.

"Bye." I said. She stopped on her tracks. Karan looked at us and smiled. She turned to me with wide eyes as if she has seen a ghost.

You have never replied to her before... So she may think you are a ghost and not her bhaiya.

"Aren't you getting late." I said.
She nodded her head up and down fastly and her smiled grew wider. I saw water glistening at the corner of her eyes. Then she turned and left. Karan was going to follow her but I stopped him by putting my hand firmly on his shoulder.

"Take care of her." I said looking in his eyes directly. I looked in his eyes for any sign of fear, fraud, coward ness but I found none.

"I will." He said confidently as if promising me. Then he too left.

I went straight to Mausam's room which was just opposite of my room. I have never entered her room.

Her room was perfectly managed. To the right was a walk-in closet and the door to bathroom. In the center there was a bed and two bed side tables on both the sides of bed. The right one was carrying a lamp and left one had a photo frame.

I walked towards that and took it in my hands. I remember this picture. It was taken at our parents anniversary 5 years ago when I was leaving for hostel. This was our last picture together. I put that down.

To the left of her bed was the window with purple curtains that led to a small balcony which had a cute chair swing. Beside the window was her study table and book shelf and the wall beside that which was on the left to the door was painted in purple and was loaded with photographs. There were many pictures of her, her friends, our parents, our grand parents, and... Of me on my graduation day.

She loves you and also deserve the love and care from you.

I took a glance to her room. Wait!
I then scrutinized everything. Her door, bathroom door, bed sheet, lamp stand, curtain, chair swing, photo frames, and the photo claded wall. Everything was purple.

It means. Purple is her favorite colour. And if not, still she likes this colour more. So one thing is fix, I'll buy something purple. But what!

At times like this, I really wish for a friend.
