"I'll leave in the morning." Akshay spoke all of a sudden.
"We should call everyone." Karan said.
His flight is at 4 in the morning so we stayed the night there. I informed bhaiya and Shruti... Well her parents along with mine are on a business trip again.
"Why are you leaving this early?"Neev asked coming inside. Shruti filled him in with the new information.
"Where are Sid and Kusum?" I asked.
"Don't know. They were drunk and out of my league. Couldn't find them."
"Tried calling?" Karan asked.
"Not answering, any of them." Neev replied to him.
"Hope they are safe." I said.
Soon it was time for Akshay to leave. We went to the airport to see him off. And came back to their apartment.
"Where were you two?" Shruti said when we saw Sid sitting on the dinning table and Kusum on the sofa, both holding there heads.
"Seems like you drank alot." Karan said a little angrily.
"We are sorry. Lost track of time. He left?" Sid replied. Kusum was sitting silent. So not her. I nudged Shruti to look at her.
"Yes. But where were you?" Karan asked again. Sid and Kusum looked at each other.
"Uh.. We were out on walk.." Sid stammered.
"All night?" Neev asked this time. Something was off between them. They were awfully silent and.. hesitant.
"No.. We found a boat and.. Slept." Sid's reply was something I wasn't expecting.
"What?" all four of us asked at once.
"We fell asleep.... We were feeling dizzy..." Kusum replied glanced at Sid and again lowered her head.
"Are you okay?" I asked her getting close to her.
"Uh.. Yeah. Just...my head. Its hurting." She replied slowly.
"I'll get you lemonade or aspirin." I said standing up.
"Both will do." She replied and I sprang inside the kitchen.
"Hey." Karan said coming inside of the kitchen. "You good?"
"Yeah. Its just... There's so many things happening."
"All of this going to be alright." He said holding my waist with both hands. I kept my one hand on his neck and the other on his shirt's buttons.
"Akshay always treated me as his sister. And now his sister is going to be my sister-in-law. Who was supposed to be dead. If its hard for me... I can't even imagine how hard it is on him."
"Way more than he's letting us see. His father, he is a business man and he loves only that. I won't say he don't cares about Akshay but.. He never gave importance or time to them when her mother was there. They always use to quarrel. Akshay personally don't like him and for me...he scares me."
"Why?"
"You'll know when you see him. I just hope whatever he's going to say don't harm Akshay and Shruti's relationship in any way." He hugged me and I rested my head on his chest.
I took the lemonade and aspirin for Kusum and Sid. Karan, Neev and Sid sat in the dining room and Kusum and Shruti were in the room.
"You seem upset."I asked Kusum.
"Huh... No it's leaving all of you behind I don't want to go back there." She replied very slowly.
"You'll be with your parents, your family and Sid will be there too. And you miss us you know where to find us right?" I said smilingly to lessen her sadness but didn't work.
"It's not like that there... I and Sid will be in same town but can't be together."
"Why?" Shruti asked. We never really asked about there relation when they were in their hometown.
"My mother don't like him. My family won't accept us." Sadness can be felt in her voice.
"What? But why?" I asked.
"You two were together too before coming here right?" Shruti asked.
"Yeah... No one knew about us. Accept Veer, Akshay, and Akashi one of my close freinds."
"But why don't your mother like him?" There's nothing bad in him that I can think of. Why wouldn't one like him?
"Because I'm an orphan." Sid said from the door of the room.
