Mausam's POV:
"Whom were you talking with?" Bhaiya asked. I couldn't say a word as I was shocked on seeing him.
"Bhaiya... Umm.."
"Its me bhaiya." Karan said from behind me.
What!!!! Has this boy gone insane. I turned and glared at him but he didn't even give me a glance. Am so dead now!!
"You? What are you doing here at this hour? And...what's wrong with your face? You weren't here when I came earlier.. How did you get in?" Bhaiya fired queue of questions at him looking at me and him frantically. Then he fixed his eyes on me.
"Mausam.... What's this?" He said this time angrily.
I gulped my fear and tried to reply but nothing came out of my mouth.
What can I say, Bhaiya he came through the window to propose me and I was going to get something to eat for us!!
"I came through the window." Karan said. Oh lord above, spell him to keep his mouth shut.
Bhaiya raised an eyebrow at him signalling him to continue.
"Me and Neev had a fight and she got hurt...emotionally" he quickly added seeing bhaiya's concerned eyes flickering on me. "We were unable to contact her she wasn't replying any of us. I came to see her. I am sorry bhaiya, I know I shouldn't have done what I did but I couldn't control myself. Its very hard to....not know about the person you.. care about." He said only once glancing at me when he said person.
"Don't think I'll forgive you just because you said the truth. I am sure father will not approve your entry in this house if he knows about this."
"No Bhaiya, please don't tell them. It was his concern which make him do such a thing. He'll not repeat it." I said immediately. I can't bear it if my parents ban him from coming near me.
"Tell him na you wont repeat it." I said to Karan.
"Bhaiya, its my fault that I didn't reply to him...them. I.." Bhaiya raised his hand and signalled me to stop and I shut up.
Bhaiya was calmly.. Very calmly looking at me. I squirm under his gaze and I kept my head low because of embarrassment.
Though its the very first time that Karan has came to my room without anyone's knowledge, but bhaiya has gotten the wrong impression.
"For this time only." Bhaiya said, and I looked at him confusingly.
He looked at me and continued.
"I am letting this go for this time only. Because it was a genuine reason though not acceptable. You could have call me or came through the front door too." He ended his sentences looking at Karan.
"I wasn't in my right state of mind. I lost control of my patience." Karan replied looking genuinely sorry. My heart welled up to know that he got worried because of me.
"Did you two eat?" Bhaiya asked.
"No." Karan replied and I just nodded my head as no.
"Come." Saying this he started walking and didn't wait for us.
As soon as he left the room I turned to Karan.
"Why did you came out?" I asked him slowly.
"We did nothing wrong and I almost said the truth." He said holding my hands.
"Don't worry. It'll be fine." He said and kissed me on temple.
"Let's go."
We both went downstairs. Bhaiya served us food and then only I came to know that he didn't have eaten too.
"You didn't eat?" I asked to Bhaiya.
"No. What do you think, if you will hide in the bathroom I will not know that you are upset." He looked at me with concerned eyes. I felt ashamed that I thought he'll not know. I felt ashamed that I once used to think that he don't cares for me.
"Am sorry bhaiya."
"Don't be. You thought you can fool me because I never showed my care and love to you. But...remember one thing. That anywhere at anytime if you feel that you need me just come to me. I'll be there for you every single time. " He said looking directly in my eyes. My heart welled up and my tears fell freely. Karan instantly wiped my tears off with his thumb and I looked at him.
"I told you na he loves you. No one can ever hate a pure soul like you." He said with a genuine smile.
"I don't know about you two but I am really hungry. " Bhaiya said and started eating. His twinkling eyes said all that he wanted to hide. He was on the verge of crying. This was the first time when he showed his affection to me.
I looked at him and then at Karan he signaled me to eat and also started eating.
I looked at the man in front of me and the boy beside me. My heart felt proud of having them in my life. These two were the man who loves me unconditionally. Whom I can rely upon whom I trust more than anyone.
Bhaiya raised his eyes up and asked with a signal 'what happen? '
I nodded my head as no and gave him a light smile. And started eating too.
