"What?" Shruti shouted in bafflement.
"Yes. " Akshay replied slowly in a vulnerable voice.
"Will you guys tell me what's happening ?" Mausam shouted loosing her patience. Shruti and Akshay turned to her but uttered nothing.
From there faces it was clear that, what they were going to say was not a good news. None of them were speaking.
"Please. Don't scare me like this." Mausam said with curiosity and fear in her voice. " Akshay you called us here because something happened. Please tell me what is it? Did you find Sid or Kusum? And.....Why only you and Neev are here? Where is Karan?" She looked around and asked.
"Akshay am asking to you.... Please do tell me. Where is Karan? " This time she shouted but her voice broke. It was too clear that she's fighting with her emotions to tackle whatever comes at her way but also dreading for the worse.
"He's in hospital. Taking care of her mother." Neev replied.
"Hospital. Mom? What's wrong with her?"
"Mausam.... listen you need to stay strong for your sake... For Karan.... For your .... Love. " Akshay said as if he was talking to a baby consoling them for the loss of their favorite doll.
Mausam's face paled on his words. " Why is mom in hospital?" Her voice was too low.
"She tried to kill herself fo.. " Neev replied nonchalantly but stopped when received glares from Akshay and Shruti.
" What? " " Repeat again Neev." Mausam was too shocked to hide her emotions now.
Why would Karanveer's try to kill herself ? What could have happened? And why did Karan not tell her about this? She couldn't think of any missing piece for the reason of Karan's mother's act.
"Shruti either you tell me or I'll go to his house anf find out myself." Mausam said.
"Sumi.... She attempted suicide as.... Karan didn't accepted her order...refused her again and again.... But don't know why... She is just not ready to leave her ground." Shruti replied but seemed like she's giving the reasons to make herself calm.
"What order? " Mausam asked doubting her words.
Akshay came infront of her and held her gently and replied to her question. But sometimes after listening to the answer it feels like...
