Mausam's POV:-
All of us went to join the wedding soon. Everything was fine. Except the tension going on between Akshay and Bhabhi's parents. Their mother was stealing glances from uncle. It was clear that he also was uncomfortable. But they were here only for their children's happiness. As Shakshi bhabhi didn't want to miss anyone on this important day. Though Akshay wasn't in good terms with his mother, she tried to talk to him many times.
"Hey." I heard Karan saying from behind. So I turned to him.
"Hmm."
"Did I tell you? You are looking stunning" He said holding my hands.
"Mmm let me remember. Yes like hundred times." I said smiling slyly.
"Oh did I?" He asked with a mischievous smile.
"You're being cheesy."
"If I'll not be cheesy with You then with whom? Should I talk to that cousin of yours there? " He said pointing towards Taniya. A cousin of mine, who was flirting with him in the evening.
"Oh really." I glared at him.
"Really what? I'll just talk to her cause she's going to be my sister-in-law soon. Hmn."
"Shutup..."
"Hey you two." Shruti said coming towards us with her was all four of our friends.
"We have decided something."
"What?" I and Karan asked together.
"My parents wanted to get us engaged tommorow along with their reception party, but we have decided that we'll do the engagement after 5 days i.e. Sid's birthday." Shruti said.
"This way we can celebrate his birthday with Kusum, or you know her mother won't let her come." Akshay said.
"That's a good idea." I exclaimed.
"And after his birthday he can claim all of his property back and then everything will be fine. " Neev said.
"I hope so." Kusum said with a sad smile.
"Hey. Don't worry we are with you. Hmm." Karan said side hugging her.
The night passed as all the rituals were completed and finally Ananta bhaiya and Sakshi bhabhi were married now. They touched every elder's feet and took their blessings.
All the guest departed to their homes, Shakshi bhabhi's parents and Akshay and Shruti and her parents did leave soon too. Kusum stayed with me in my room and Karan and Sid were given the guest room and Harry, I insisted father to make him stay in the out house away from Kusum.
"Are you feeling any better?" I asked Kusum when we were alone in my room.
"I don't know. I've never seen my mother like this. I knew.... I knew she was...is an arrogant woman and very ill temlered too but never even in my wildest of dreams have I imagined that she'll do such thing with me. I thought Mausam, she loves me." Kusum was broken from inside her eyes were red from anger and hurt.
"Your mother loves you. But every people has there own perception. What she has faced she don't wants you to go through the same." I tried to console her.
"I understand. But why don't she understands me? Why don't she understands our love? Why Mausam? She has known Sidhartha for years still she doubts him." She broke into tears so I side hugged her.
"Hey... It's not good for your health. Don't cry. Everything wil be fine just wait for 5 more days after that you and Sid will be together. Forever."
