I start to gather clothes and throw them into my suitcase quickly and angrily.
"Dan what are you doing now!?" my mother asks.
"I'm leaving this shitty country. I'm never coming back. I'm booking a flight to the U.S., and then i'm gone for good. Do NOT come looking for me." I slam my suitcase shut.
"Daniel James Howell you are not leaving!" my mom grabs my arm and looks me in the eyes.
I stare her back in the eyes.
"Watch me." I hiss as I spin around on my heels and walk out the door.
People think i'm not capable of doing anything. If I want to do something, then i'm gonna do it.
I start to make my way down past the curb when I almost get hit by a car. Cursing loudly at the car, I see a tall dark haired man get out. Squinting slightly, I raise and eyebrow.
"Phil?" I ask.
"Dan..." Phil says.
"What are you doing?!" I hiss at him, obviously pissed off.

"S-sorry I-" Phil tries to mumble, but I cut him off.
"You could have killed me!" I spit at him.
"I know, I'm sorry..." he mumbles and looks down.
It's silent between the two of us as we both stand there in the dark. The only source of light is a dim street light that is sat above us. Phil looks up at me and notices my bags and suitcase i'm holding in my hands.
"What's with all the bags?" he asks quietly.
Looking down at my bags, I look back up at Phil's lightly lit face from the street light. Swallowing hard, I shrug.
"Why do you care?" I knit my eyebrows again.
Phil stands silent for a minute, not finding the words to say. His lips part slightly as if he's about to say something, but he doesn't. We stand there silent again.
Looking at Phil again, I break the silence.
"Why are you talking to me? Don't you think i'm some weirdo or something?"
