Chapter 34|| "I'm finally happy"

I never expected to fall this hard.

I usually don't fall for people. I usually just do my own thing. Girls used to notice me, but I never bothered to notice them really. I was never interested. I used to think that love was the stupidest thing ever, I never believed in it.

But as soon as I saw Y/N at the curb, my god. I fell so fucking hard. I knew there was no getting out of it. She was absolutely perfect.

When she asked to sit down next to me, my heart was racing and the butterflies in my stomach were going crazy. I've never felt that feeling before.

There's no going back now.

This is what I want.

I want her, forever. I don't need anyone else in my life. She takes the pain away. She makes me feel alive again and less broken.

So we're running away together.

I'm still healing from the overdose, but I should be okay. I can walk, so that's good enough for me.

We're getting out of this shitty town with all these shitty people.

No one can stop us.

We're really doing this.

We're running away together.

My heart begins racing as we hop into Y/N's car, me taking her keys and turning the car on quickly, my adrenaline pumping.

No one knows our plan.

I can finally get away from all this.

I can finally escape this shitty place.

With the one I love most.

I pull out of the driveway, and quickly jerk the wheel to the left to turn onto the street. I step on the gas quickly, and the tires screech as we take off.

"This is fucking crazy!" Y/N laughs.

I feel a smile creep onto my lips as I look over at her hanging her hand out the window. Looking back at the road, my smile grows wider.

This is what I want for the rest of my life.

We've been in the car for a few hours now, we don't know where we're going, but we don't care.

I look over at Y/N who is completely passed out in the passenger seat. I smile to myself, and look back at the road.

The moon is shining very bright, and I can see the stars scattered in the sky. My eyes shift over to the bright city lights sat beside us as we drive over a bridge. The water glistens from the moon, and I look over at Y/N one more time.

She really is perfect.

My heart is constantly racing when I'm around her.

Even though we've known each other for a while, I still get butterflies in my stomach whenever I see her or see her name pop up in my phone.

She makes me feel things.

Starting to grow tired myself, I decide to pull off on the side of the road to sleep.

The temperature outside gets cold at night, so I search in the back of her car to see if there's any blankets or anything.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything.

I look over at Y/N and notice she's shivering, so I take off my jacket and gently wrap it around her.

I don't care if I'm in a t-shirt. I only care about keeping her warm so she doesn't freeze.

Looking down at her, I tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear. I gently stroke her cheek with my hand, and smile a little.

I sit back in my seat slowly, and try to close my eyes.

I'm finally happy.
