Ella

"Skylar! What the hell!?! You scared me to death!"

"Well, you didn't actually met death, right? So it's okay because you're okay!" She laughed and I just raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, come on. Stop pouting you big baby boo." She tilted her head sideways to annoy me even more.

I glared at her.

You almost gave me a heart attack

"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!" She hugged me and I rolled my eyes. When she released me, I finally gave her a smile.

"Come on, we're going to be late." She said and took my hand. Then, as fast as she touches my hand, she dropped it and stared at me in way that somehow creeped me.

I felt my forehead creasing. "What?" I asked, sensing something wrong.

"Are you okay?" She asked. Her voice full of concern which practically gave chills down my spine. Somehow, her question took me back to my dream and to what happened this morning.

"Of course." I half-lied. I am physically and emotionally fine. "Other than my dream last night and what happened this morning, I'm fine. What's wrong?"

"A dream?" She asked, her face a mask of confusion now. "Was there... Was there a full moon in your dream?"

I felt all my blood rushing out of my body as I stared at her. "H-How did you know?" I whispered as if someone was listening to us.

I saw a wave of emotions in her eyes, but it quickly disappeared and was replaced by a forced smile. "You should have seen the look on your face."

I frowned. "What?"

"There was a full moon last night and its highest peak was at the stroke of midnight."

Was it all a joke?

"I was only guessing your dream, silly. I can't believe you actually believed that maybe I'm turning into a psychic."

She laughed loudly.

Knowing her, she hides her real emotions by laughing. And right now, I could definitely sense that something is wrong. Something bothered her when she touched my hand. She has been my bestfriend ever since we moved here, and I could detect every little detail in her, including how she quivered when she joked. And how she seemed to force out a laugh just to try and dismiss an idea.

She stopped laughing and looked at me seriously. I know she knows that I'm not buying her stupid joke.

"Tell me about your dream."

"Like what you said, the full moon was there."

"I can see that you're suspicious so–"

"Of course, I am!" I said, cutting her sentence. "I know you. You are my bestfriend and I want to know what's bothering you especially if it includes me."

"Nothing is bothering me, Ella." She closed her eyes and let out a breath. "It's just that. I stayed all night last night watching the moon. Then I felt this weird chill in my spine. And the next thing I knew I was already in my bed. The morning sunshine is flooding my room. And the weirdest thing was, I can't even remember how I got to my bed."

That's half lie and I know it. "If you're not ready to tell me the whole truth, fine. But you will tell me what's really bothering you someday soon." I sighed, defeated. "Let's go, we're going to be late." I closed my eyes and turned around.

"Hey! Where're you going?" I ignored her and started walking with my eyes still close. "Hey, look out!"

Too late. My head bumped into a wall in front of me. I was waiting for my butt to kiss the floor but it never did. I opened my eyes and made an eye-to-eye contact with a pair of piercing blue eyes.

"Are you okay, miss?"

I guess the wall that I bumped into was actually a hard chest. I stared at him in awe. He's handsome, alright. But he also looked alarmingly dangerous and... familiar? For a second, I saw a dead man in his eyes. But the image disappeared just as quickly as it appeared. More than that, he looked really familiar.

I gasped when I heard Skylar's voice.

"Hunter!"

Hunter? As in Norwood?

The guy averted his eyes to Skylar then stared back at me and gave me a smile. "Ella." He said, and I immediately felt conscious. I quickly moved away when I realized that his arms are secured around my waist, preventing me from falling earlier. "You're as clumsy as ever."

Definitely Hunter

I glared at him. "You came out of nowhere!"

"I was just right behind the two of you." He laughed then drifted his attention to the gaping Skylar.

"Hello, Sweet Witch." He smiled at her.

Although, no one could miss the blush the crept on her cheeks, she snorted and rolled her eyes at him. "Never gets old." She muttered as she grabbed my hand and dragged me in the opposite direction. "Come on. We'll be late."

I laughed. She's right. It never gets old. Her feelings for Hunter never changed. We walked in a fast pace and left Hunter.

"Hey, aren't you girls gonna give me some hugs and kisses?" He yelled and I looked back, smiling at his playfulness.

"In your dreams!" Skylar yelled back without looking back.

"We haven't seen each other for three years. Didn't you girls miss me?"

We stopped walking and turned to look at him in sync.

"NO!"
