Chapter 3

-5SOS isn't famous, just on YouTube- I put the money in the envelope and hid it with my other money I have saved up in my closet. I have this hidden compartment in my closet. No one knows about it, but me. I hear Val at the door, so I run downstairs and grab her right away. "Come on, I have something to show you." She runs up the stairs after me. I take it out and show her. "Guess who it's from." I say started to tear up. "Uh- I don't know." She says clueless. "My... My dad." I say putting the money back. "He saved it up and put it in an envelope and taped it under my desk, I've never seen it. He knew he was going to die." I say through tears. "It's okay. Don't cry." She says hugging me. "Lets go eat somewhere? Does that sound good?" She says "Yeah. Lets get all pretty, we have more of a chance with a guy then." I say laughing. "Ok." I look through my closet to see what's nice but not overly nice. I see my favorite sundress. "Ohh. I'll wear that. Val, do you wanna borrow my other sundress?" I ask taking my lilac, knee length dress out of the closet. "What color?" She says walking over to me. "Uh. It's like a navy blue." I say slipping my pants off. "Sure." She says walking to my closet and taking it out. I take the rest of my clothing off and slip the dress on. I find my black cardigan and put it on, with my black vans. "Are you going to wear those? They are all you ever wear." I look down at my feet, "Fine." I say taking them off and put on black converse. "Better?" I say shaking my foot. "Sure." She says putting the dress on. "Unlike you, I'm going to wear sandals and no cardigan." She says putting her white sandals on. I look in the mirror and decide I don't need to put much make up on. Just a little blush and mascara. I braid my hair in a fishtail braid and put it to the side. Val curls her hair and puts eye make up on, creating a smokey eye effect. "Ready to go?" I say looking up from my phone. "Uh. Yeah." I grab my keys and we head outside to my car.
