Chapter 21

I take a drink of my Dr. Pepper, when something pops up on the screen. I spit out my drink, coughing. "Holy caro. Are you okay?" Ashton ask me patting my back. "Yeah. That's just scared the shit out of me. That's all" I say smiling. I eat popcorn as the movie goes on. "I have to use the restroom and get a refill. I'll be right back." I say smiling. "I need a refill on my drink and popcorn." Ashton says. I wheel myself out of the screening room, with Ashton following. "So. All the guys have talked to you, except me.." He says quietly. "Uh. Yeah. Is there something you want to talk about?" I say curiously. "Well, it seems they all know you, except me." "Well, what the other boys know is that Luke stayed the night at my house last night, he walked in on me changing my shirt, so he's seen my upper body. Then they know.. Uh. My dad died when I was 14 and my mom doesn't really care." I say looking at my lap. "Well. Uh. I'm sorry. Really sorry actually. I didn't mean to invade your privacy." He says looking at his feet and rubbing the back of his neck. "Like I said to the other guys, please, don't be. I don't need my mom, I'm strong on my own." I say looking up at him. "I bet all the other guys have said that you can talk to them. Well. You shouldn't keep everything bottled up, so if you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here." He says smiling slightly. "Thank you." I say smiling. I wheel away and go to the restroom. When I come out Ashton is standing there waiting. "I have to refill my drink." I say smiling. "Okay." He says smiling. He wheels me into the lobby and I refill my drink. We get back to the screening room and there is screaming in the movie. I turn the corner to see Luke 😬 doing that Calum 😖 doing that and Mikey kind of hiding behind his hands. I start laughing, really hard. They all turn and look at me. I continue laughing. "You guys are scaredy cats!" I say between laughs. "Whatever!" Luke says throwing a piece of popcorn at me.
