Why Me?

Chapter 6

       Lorena

            Today is the day that they are coming! Oh Camilla and I have been plotting and planning for years, and the ball only confirmed our suspicions! When Griffin came back in from the balcony with that dazed expression on his face I knew right away that he had gotten a wiff of his mate. When he approached me, and looked at me with disappointment I knew that his mate had been talking to me. Of course I realized right away that his mate had to be Athena, she was the only possible candidate, and only young female wolf that I had talked to before hand. Did I tell Griffin this, why of course not! A ball is no place to meet your mate! And because they were coming in a few weeks anyways I figured it was for the best. I can already picture the beautiful babies that they will produce! When I told Camilla the news she was as ecstatic as I! Oh I always wanted to be in laws with her!

Athena

      When we finally landed Lorena was there to pick us up. Lorena of course had body guards with her, after all the Luna must always be protected. My mother and Lorena hugged and kissed as if they hadn't seen eachother just a couples weeks ago.

       I glanced at my father and noticed envy in his eyes, as he watched his mate being hugged by another, even if it was just her female best friend. I really hope my mate isn't a possessive alpha, because otherwise I may just pull my hair out.....or his. Maybe I could somehow find a Griffin and ride away from everyone. Yes I would enjoy a pet Griffin.

      I am snapped out of my thoughts when I suddenly realize that Lorena was talking to me.

       "And Athena, you just going to love my children! My youngest is around your age, and my other daughter is slightly older, although she no longer lives with us, all because her mate couldn't stand her being away from him. And then of course there is my son, whom I'm sure you will absolutely adore...."

       I don't mean to be rude but I did kinda tune out Lorena. I noticed my father had done the same. In fact he was playing on his phone the new game that my brother had gotten him. Apparently it was called ballz and my brother enjoyed telling everyone that their fierce alpha liked ballz.

    "Sigh" what did I do to deserve a brother like him! I mean I can't believe we are related, we are nothing alike! No sir.
   
      Just then I heard the song "I'm sexy and I know it" I quickly answer my phone knowing that it is Quilla.

       Lorena is staring at me, as is my mother. What was I supposed to do? Before Quilla found her mate this song was our anthem, our jam! I still remember we used to get ready for parties to this song. Quilla and I would dance around in our under garments and try to act sexy and end up looking more like we were high.

      "Aaaathena!!!!!!!!" 

    I felt my ear drum slowly die, and had to remove the phone from my ear as Quilla's voice shouted, or more like screamed through my phone. I took a risk and put it back to my ear once I was sure that the screaming had stopped. Thankfully Quilla was now talking in a normal inside voice.

    "Adonis is being mean! I need you to come and knock some sense into this over bearing a-hole!!!!"

    Suddenly I hear screech and then I am listening to Adonis on the phone.

     "Hello person whose name I have forgotten."

     "It's Athena and you know it. What in the moon goddes did I do to deserve you!" This time it is Quilla and it sounds as though she is banging her head.......

   "Ah yes Athena, well then Athena just ignore everything my wonderful mate has spoken of. You have heard nothing nor seen anything, this is not the friend you are looking for."

    Then I heard a beep and find out that, that jerk hung up the phone! How dare he!!!!! I am fuming. I am about to dial him back, when my mother calls out to me. Apparently during this conversation we have reached the pack house. How did that happen???

     Athena

     Ok things really do grow better in Texas. The men here are so tall!!! And man their looks make me lick my chops. I swear there is drool coming off my chin as I take in all these drool worthy weres.

    Lorena escorts us to our rooms. My mother and father receive the giant guest suite on the 1st floor. I am then showed to a beautiful room on the 2nd floor. All the walls but one are grey, the other being a bright turquoise. The bed was huge! And there were turquoise accents all over the room. I had a giant vanity, and don't get me started on the closet. It was huge! It was a walk in one, and had one wall just dedicated for shoes!

       After exploring every inch of my room, including the connected bathroom. I did notice a door on the other side of the bathroom and just assume that I will be sharing the bathroom with Lorena's daughter. After all she told me that her children also resided on this floor.

     As I headed down to dinner I could hear Lorena and alpha Parker arguing.

Apparently a Griffin had an emergency and wouldn't be back until tomorrow, and it was ruining Lorena's chance to have more grandchildren?

Now don't get me wrong I love Lorena already, but I honestly can't help but wonder if she has lost it. How would a Griffin give her more grandchildren? And what is going to happen next? Are they going to say they have unicorns now to?

Shrugging I head into dinner and try to keep my stomach from singing the song of its people.

Hey guys. I promise that they will meet in the next chapter! And it may be a let's just say an interesting meeting. I am going camping this next week but will try to update towards the middle of the week, but I make no promises. I hope you enjoyed this chapter! And I will see you all gains again next time :)
