Why Me?

Chapter 7

{Athena}

Dinner went well, Alpha Parker and Lorena didn't let on that I had heard them.

We enjoyed steak that was cooked to perfection. And the salad was amazing. I'm kidding, lets face it. Lorena can't cook. Not even salad.

Am I joking, no I'm not. One might ask "how does one ruin salad?"

     Well here is how it works. One does not mix fruit salad, with veggie salad. Ranch and olives, do not go with watermelon and kiwis. As I ate I even noticed Alpha Parker grimacing.

     My dad was the worst though. He gave most of his black as charcoal steak, oh wait it was charcoal, to the dog. Who whined and then went on to barf. Poor guy. He still looked a little green. My dad that is. The dog left to go and eat his dog food. Which actually didn't look that bad......

        As I was brushing my teeth, I realized that the bathroom smelt really good. It had a woodsy smell that had my wolf purring. I wonder if Lorena's daughter is an outdoors person? Both her children were gone tonight and were supposed to be home tomorrow morning.

     Hopefully my bathroom partner doesn't mind me cluttering her bathroom with all my stuff. I can't believe that a girl my age has almost nothing in her bathroom. In fact if I didn't know better I would say that it was a men's bathroom. But that's not possible. After all Lorena is so sweet and wouldn't do that to me.

       {Athena}

           THERE IS A NAKED MAN IN MY SHOWER WHO SMELLS DELICIOUS.

        I can't help but moan as his smell hits me at full force. My wolf is going crazy!!!!

    All I wanted to do was get rid of my morning breath. Not walk in on a very toned male showing. I will admit though that he wasn't hard on the eyes.

      As soon as I moaned the man froze. And slowly turned around. I stared into his eyes, and immediately felt like I was  home. He had warm eyes that made me comfortable instantly. They had a look of protectiveness and tenderness. He was looking at me as though I was the most important thing in the world. And for a moment it was just us. In our own world.

         And then I remembered he was naked and screamed bloody murder.

       {Lorena}

        As soon as I heard the scream I couldn't help but smirk. I knew then that Athena had finally met my son. Camilla and I had compared schedules the night before and learned that Griffin woke up 15 minutes before Athena. And we figured that they would end up meeting in the bathroom. And of course the MoonGoddess heard our prayers if the scream was any indication.

    Oh don't worry, we may sound awful but if they were really in any danger we would know. We had one of the young lads standing outside the doors listening in to make sure nothing happened. He will be receiving tickets to the big rodeo, for his special services.

       He uses the mindlink to inform me that there are growls and words being spoken. 
  
     Suddenly I can feel him wince through the mindlink. I start to worry til he informs me that Athena is yelling at Griffin to put some pants on, and how she needs to bleach her eyes. And something about her wolf being a pervert. Camilla laughs as I tell her about her daughter.

     We then hear footsteps running down the stairs. Turning we spot the boy I hired panting. He grimaces before gasping out.

       "Alpha Griffin told Athena that if anyone else heard what he was about to say he would have to cancel the next rodeo and have the person go on clean up duty for the next month!"

      Camilla and I both sigh. Stupid alphas and their enhanced hearing.

     "Did he say anything else?" Camilla wanted to know.

     "As I was running away I heard Athena umm well I think she threw something at the alpha and told him not to be so mean?"

    The boy looked confused at this, while Camilla and I just gave eachother knowing looks. We both had the same expression on our faces.

       They were absolutely perfect for eachother!

          Hey guys! Did you guys enjoy the chapter? Griffin will definitely have his hands full with Athena. Did you guys notice the brackets? Did you like them or think they were pointless?
