Winning: A Team Crafted Fanfic

Chapter 8

Kayla's Pov.

I woke up the next morning to my Skype ringing. I groggily rolled over on my side and looked at my phone.

Skype call from: Mitch

I slid my finger across the screen, opening up Skype and answering Mitch with a faint hello. Mitch laughed, "You're not up yet? It's already 11 am." I immediately turned my head to my clock and it read 11 am. My eyes grew wide as I realized how late I slept in. My mouth was in the shape of an "O" and I whispered, "Oops..."

Mitch just laughed again and said, "Are you up for that competition? Ty seemed pretty pumped." "Yeah, when and where," I replied with excitement. Mitch hesitated for a second and called out, "Ty! When and where is the competition?" I heard a familiar voice call out, "Mineplex at 2 pm. They agreed to let us have our own competition on their server." "3 hours..." I said to no one in particular. "Hey Mitch, I'm going to go get ready," I said. "Wait," Mitch exclaimed. "Yeah," I asked. Mitch replied, "Did you want to come to the TC house?" I got a little too excited, "Of course!" "Haha, you might want to hurry since you only have 3 hours," Mitch said casually. "Shit," I cursed. I practically yelled from across the room, "Mitch I'll be there as quick as I can! Text me the address and I'll be there!" Mitch said, "Alright," and ended the call.

A few seconds later I got a text from Mitch containing the address that would impact my life. The address that would hold so many memories. The address that held my future within its doors.

I hurried into some jeans and a tank. I brushed my teeth, did my hair, and minimal make-up in record time. I grabbed a couple poptarts and hurried out the door. I plugged my iPod into the car and blasted my favorite songs. Just then All of Me by John Legend came on and I instantly grew sad. Harry had ruined that song for me. I quickly skipped over the song and thought no more of it. I wasn't going to let that ruin my day. Today was supposed to be a fun, enjoyable day. The next song that came on, Monster by Approaching Nirvana, gave me a burst of energy. That song just made me excited and pumped for the task at hand. So much for being a tired, lazy bum today.

The drive there went by fast and I was glad. I was anxious to see the house and all of the team in person. When I pulled up to the house I stared in awe. It was huge compared to what it looked like in vlogs! I slowly got out of my car and rang the doorbell. I could hear a small tune play from inside the house and someone unlocked the door. I looked up to see Adam standing there. I smiled and waved at him, being a bit shy. "Oh my god Kayla," Adam exclaimed. "Mitch didn't tell you I was coming," I asked. Adam shook his head and said, "Nope," while popping the "p." I laughed, "Oh, well, hi!" A look of realization crossed over Adam's face as he asked, "Want to come in?" "Of course, that's why I drove all the way out here," I laughed. He swung the door open a bit wider and I stepped in. I was instantly greeted by the team, but they all had confused looks on their faces. To clear it up for them I said, "Hey, I'm Kayla. I also go by Klove12. I won the One in the Quiver tournament." Looks of realization spread throughout the room, and also a chorus of "Ohhhh."

Ty ran over and grabbed my hand, "OITQ now, let's go!" I laughed as I let myself be pulled by Ty up the stairs and into his room. Once we entered his room I recognized the area. I had seen it plenty of times in pictures and videos.

I removed the bag from over my shoulder and took out my laptop. I typed in the password and then searched Minecraft. I clicked on the little icon and waited for the log in to show up. I clicked play and waited on the main screen for Ty. Once he had gotten to the main screen I double clicked on Mineplex. As soon as I joined I was teleported to the same arena I won in. After a few seconds Ty was teleported there too.

A count down began, the game will begin in 5...4...3...2...1... *Bang* a cannon went off. I immediately began searching the area for Ty.

Ty's Pov.

I saw Kayla looking around for me. I was sneaking around trees and things so that she wouldn't see me. She suddenly turned around and I quickly retreated behind a tree. I'm pretty sure she didn't see me, because it happened so fast. "Where are youuuuuu," Kayla said from a couple feet away. She had made herself comfortable on the floor. I offered to allow her to use a desk or something, but she rejected it saying she liked the floor. I found it no point to argue about, so I dropped the issue and let her sit on the floor.

The next time she turned around she was hit with an unsuspected arrow. I smiled as her lives went down to 2. "Yussss!" I fist pumped the air. "You are going down," said Kayla. "It doesn't look like it Kayla," I replied.

I got a little too cocky, because she instantly shot me straight in the face. Kayla called over, "You were saying?" I shrugged it off and respawned.

I saw Kayla appear around a corner and I shot at her. She jumped to the side, but shot at me also. Neither of the arrows hit their mark. "Guess we are going to have to do this the hard way," I said. I scrolled over to the sword in my inventory and sprinted towards Kayla. She immediately jumped behind me and hit me into the water. I tried block hitting her to keep her away, but she got a solid kill.

I respawned once again, now at 1 life. Kayla still had 2. Kayla was still in the water from when she killed me, so I easily shot her. "And then there was 1," said Kayla.

I began looking for where she spawned in. I suddenly was shot from behind, "Noooo," I exclaimed. "Woooo! I win," Kayla shouted. I turned around from my computer to see all of the team staring in awe at Kayla. "Dat snipe doeeee," said Mitch. "Wow," said Adam awe struck. "Katniss," exclaimed Jerome. The others just stood there, their mouths forming an "O." "GG," I said, giving her a look of approval. "Thanks guys," Kayla smiled.

Booooooom! End of Chapter 8! I literally typed this out on the bus. We already got a 5 am breakfast at the Gateway Restaurant in Pennsylvania. We are currently going to Gettysburg for our next adventure. I've been on a bus waaaaay too long with waaaaay too many girls though, that's for sure! I'm excited to sleep in an actual bed tonight. I'll try to update when I can. I love you guys.
