Adam's Pov.

Before Kayla called I was watching T.V. On the screen I saw a car crash. I watched as they showed footage of how it happened. There were 2 cars going north, when a car in front of them swerved and crashed into a ditch on the side of the road. The 2 other cars were hit and damaged on the sides and front end. After a moment the clip ended and they went on describing what happened. Finally the said the names of the people who were injured. I stared in awe as they said my parent's names. I sat there for a couple minutes just staring into the screen and telling myself, "My. Parents. Were. In. A. Car. Crash."

Finally the reality hit me like a bullet to the chest. I shot off the couch and grabbed my coat. "Where are you going," Jason asked. "Hospital," I said without emotion. "Why?" Ian came up to me. After several minutes the entire team was in the room asking me questions about it. I finally decided to tell them, "My parents were in a car crash." They all gasped, but then Mitch's phone rang. "It's Kayla," Mitch whispered. "Don't tell her anything," I told him. He nodded and answered, "Hello?" "Oh alright, he's right here." Mitch handed the phone to me. I gulped, maybe she already knew, "Hello?" "Hey Adam," she sighed. Before she could say anything about the crash I said, "I'm sorry about yesterday, but I have to go." She sounded worried, "Why, what's wrong Adam?" I felt like a jerk for it, but I told her, "Don't worry about it. I'll see you later. Good night Kayla." I hung up the phone and gave it back to Mitch.

We all headed out to the car. Quinten decided to drive, while I sat in the passenger seat. After what seemed like hours we were all sitting in the waiting room. Finally a nurse walked up and she told me, "You may see them now. Room 218." I sprint walked towards their room, climbing a flight of stairs 2 steps at a time. Once I finally reached their room I stood there for a second. I slowly pushed open the door and saw both of my parents laying on hospital beds. "Mom... Dad..." I sighed.

They both looked over at me and gave me pained smiles. "I missed you, son," my father said. "My baby. You've grown up to be a wonderful adult," my mother told me. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I saw cuts, scrapes, bruises, and bandages on each of them. "I was so worried," I ran over and gave each of them a hug.

Kayla's Pov.

I woke up early the next morning to the sound of my alarm clock. I fell out of bed and put on the first pair of shorts and t-shirt I could find. I ran down the stairs and brushed my hair and teeth. I quickly opened up a cabinet and pulled out the box filled with poptarts. I took one out and held it in my mouth as I grabbed my backpack. I slipped it over my shoulder and took a bite of my poptart as I went out the front door.

On my way to school I saw a girl who looked familiar. I'm pretty sure she went to my school, but I just didn't know her name. I sprinted to catch up with her, "Hi!" She turned to look at me and I immediately recognized her. She had blonde hair with green for the tips. She had green eyes that perfectly matched her hair. She wore a pink shirt and a pair of jean shorts. It was London, the girl who got bullied last year. "Hello," she replied a little confused. "My name is Kayla. And you must be London, right?" I asked her. "That's me," she smiled a bit.

We continued walking to school and laughing at each other's jokes. We already became great friends in such little time. I couldn't even count how many inside jokes we already had. (Love ya Pika ;) This is for you). We had already exchanged numbers also.

Several minutes later I was in the hallway talking to London when I saw Lacy and Peter. I grabbed her hand and pulled her over to them. "Hey guys! This is London!" I smiled, introducing London. "Heyyyy!" Peter and Lacy almost shouted.

Just then I saw Harry walk past us. I turned away from him, but still felt him staring into the back of me. I was almost positive that he was going to make these last 11 days hell for me. Since when doesn't Harry spread rumors about people?

When I was in math class I could hear people saying my name and snickering. Once the bell rang I sprang out of my seat. I practically ran to my locker and grabbed my backpack while stuffing my books into my locker. I turned around and put my backpack on one shoulder. I saw Harry and his stuck up friends out of the corner of my eye. I sprinted out of the school and away from them.

They were still following me, "Come here, cupcake!" Another one of them yelled, "Wait babe!" I turned my head towards them for a second and yelled back, "Fuck you guys!" After that I sprinted as fast as I could. I could hear their feet slapping pavement as they chased after me. There was no way I could lead them to my house, then they would know where I lived.

"What do I do..." I asked myself. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through my contacts until I found Mitch's name. Now you're probably wondering, isn't he 3 hours away? No, sometimes I just take 3 hours to actually wake up, get ready, eat, and head over. I decided I would call Mitch, I mean yolo right?

He answered after 3 rings, "Hey Kayla." I was breathing frantically, "Mitch help. I'm totally not being chased by Harry and his friends or anything right now. I can't go home, they will know where I live." "Can you meet me at the mall then," Mitch asked. "Yeah that's not too far. I'll meet you at the back entrance," I agreed. "Alright, I'll be there in about 15 minutes," Mitch assured me.

I sprinted across a busy street, barely dodging some cars. I heard a few enraged drivers yelling at me, "Watch where you're going!" Once I reached the other side of the street I heard them yell, "You can't run forever!" I looked over my shoulder to see them weaving through the cars. Adrenaline was pumping through my veins.

I turned left at the next busy street and spotted the bridge. I thought about jumping, but quickly changed my mind. There was no way I would survive the fall. "Hey, why don't you jump off that bridge there," they yelled.

I just kept sprinting until I finally saw the mall. "Thank god," I whispered to myself. I finally saw the back entrance, but I didn't see Mitch. I called him, "Mitch, where are you?" "I'm about 2 minutes away," he told me. "I don't have 2 minutes Mitch..." I whispered. I felt tears try to pour over, but I blinked them away. My voice wavered a bit, "Hurry Mitch." "Don't cry, I'll be there. I promise. I see the mall right now." Harry and his friends were only a few yards away as I hung up and put my phone back in my pocket. "Please..." I whispered as Harry and his friends were only about 4 feet away.
