Winning: A Team Crafted Fanfic

Chapter 2(:

At 7 o'clock Lacy and Peter showed up at my door. I had gotten into a teal blue flowy dress quickly before they arrived. I used a minimal amount of makeup, trying to keep my natural look. I had done my nails in a sparkly silver with teal accent nails for the ring fingers. I slipped on my high heels and opened the door. I put my hand on my hip and looked dramatically up into the sky. Lacy gasped, "Oh my god, Kayla you look perfect!" I smiled wide, "Thank you! You guys look great too!" I really meant it too. Lacy had really done herself up this time, and Peter was wearing a fancy tux. "I still don't know who I'm going to go with," I sighed. "You look great Kayla, I'm sure someone will think you look beautiful," Lacy said. Peter chimed in, "You can always hang out with us!" I laughed, "I wouldn't want to be a 3rd wheel." Lacy punched me playfully in the arm, "Don't worry, I think we can put up with you." "I sure hope so," Peter said.

Once the school was in sight I could hear the music blasting. I got a little excited, it's not often that I go to things like this. Lacy pushed open the door dramatically looking like a celebrity. We walked into the gym, which was packed with people. I danced around like an idiot for some time, until I heard it. My favorite song was being played.

What would I do without your smart mouth? Drawing me in, and you kicking me out. Got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down. What's going on in that beautiful mind? I'm on your magical mystery ride. And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright.

I sang as loud as I could, "My head's underwater, but I'm breathing fine. You're crazy and I'm out of my mind. 'Cause all of me, loves all of you. Love your curves and all your edges. All your perfect imperfections. Give your all to me, I'll give my all to you. You're my end and my beginning. Even when I lose I'm winning. 'Cause I give you all of me. And you give me all of you, oh."

Everyone was now surrounding me. I didn't really care, honestly. I couldn't help singing. Once I had finished the song everyone started to clap. I saw a few people giving disgusted looks, the people who hate me. I just turned away and group hugged Lacy and Peter. "I never knew you could sing," I heard someone say. I turned around to see the most popular boy, Harry. I flashed him a smile as a thanks and he returned it. Harry asked, "Would you like to dance with me?"
