Chapter 9

So this chapter didn't update while I was on the bus since the wifi was terrible, but here it is. Author's note at the end is a bit outdated, but you guys will live xD The end was a bit rushed, sorry doods.

Kayla's Pov.

Several hours after the competition Jason came up to me, "Hey, we are having a party tomorrow. Did you want to come?" I nodded my head and smiled. My face lit up with excitement, that means one more day I can hang out with my idols, Team Crafted. As soon as Jason said that Adam came into the room, "You can just stay for tonight then." My smile grew even wider, but then it disappeared. "What am I going to wear," I asked. Jerome and Mitch then came into the room. Jerome said, "Did I hear party?" Quinten and Ian joined the group and said, "Of course, have you forgotten?" "Maybe...." admitted Jerome. Mitch joined in, "How do you forget about a party Biggums?" "Good question.... Anyways, I think Kayla needs to go shopping," exclaimed Jerome. Mitch looked at Jerome and gave a face, signaling something that I didn't understand. "We will go with you," said Jerome. "Who's we," I asked. Adam chimed in, "Jerome, Mitch, and I." Jerome and Mitch shared another look and shrugged, "Alright, it's settled." "Mitch and Jerome you see if Ryan can powermove it over here. Adam you go with Kayla, Mitch, and Jerome shopping. Ian, Quinten, and I will set up for the party. Text if you need anything. See you back here at 8," said Jason taking charge.

Once we had all split into our groups we headed for the car. "I call shot gun," I shouted as I sprinted to the passenger seat. Mitch hopped into the driver's seat and Adam and Jerome climbed into the back. The car was a fancy, red convertible mustang. "Mitchhhh, put the top down," I jokingly complained. Mitch did as he was told and as we began driving I screamed and threw my hands up into the air. I was screaming, "Best day ever!" Everyone laughed and Jerome called up to Mitch, "Blast some music Biggums!" "Actually, Kayla choose a song," said Mitch. I smiled, he was so nice. I plugged my iPod into the phone jack and turned Monster by Approaching Nirvana on. Mitch yelled over the wind, "Oh my god, I love you so much right now! Best song ever!" I smiled widely. I knew Mitch was just joking, but it meant something to me. Someone actually loved me. Of course as a friend, but still.

Adam's Pov.

I didn't talk much. Mitch and Kayla were having a good time. I'm glad Kayla was happy, but I was a bit jealous of Mitch. He was totally flirting with her. I just stared endlessly and emotionlessly at the scenery that passed by. I wasn't going to make a scene in the car. Not now.

Mitch's Pov.

Kayla was super nice and extremely fun to talk to! I said I loved her, but I meant it in a friendly way. I hope she knew that. Kayla asked a question, "Hey can my friends come to the party? It's just my friends Lacy and Peter." "Of course," we all said. I just then pulled up to the mall. Kayla let out a gasp and acted a bit like a child getting candy, "Oh my god guys, LET'S GOOOO!" I laughed as I chased after her. I just met her, but I feel like a brother to her. She called back, "Hurry up guys!" "We're coming," called Jerome.

After several hours of shopping we settled down in the food court. "Hey I'll call Ryan," I said.

Kayla's Pov.

The guys were all really nice to me. Adam seemed bummed out, so when Mitch went to call Ryan and Jerome went to get food I asked him, "Hey, what's wrong?" "Nothing..." he said. "It's obviously something," I replied. Adam sighed, "I'd rather not explain it." Just then Mitch and Jerome came back. I gave Adam a look saying we would talk about it later and he sighed.

"Hey, Ryan says he can come tomorrow," said Mitch. "And I got Five Guys," smiled Jerome. "Oh my god Jerome, how did you know? I love Five Guys!"

Once we arrived home I plopped down all my bags. "Man, I never knew girls could shop so much," said Mitch.
