Kayla's Pov.
I woke up to an alarm going off. I turned over groggily and looked at my clock. 6:30 am? I could've sworn I turned my alarm off. There is no way I'm going to school today. Yes I know there's only a few days until graduation. And yes I know it's Friday, but I can't see Harry. I need time to think about this and recover from what was said.
When I woke up again it was 1 pm. I practically fell out of bed. How can someone sleep for that long? I slowly trudged down the stairs and popped some waffles in the toaster. When I heard a little *ding* I smiled and snatched them out of the toaster before I could burn myself from the heat. I dumped a bunch of syrup on them and brought them into the living room. I plopped down on the couch and turned on the T.V. Adventure Time came on and I screeched with happiness. I. Love. Adventure. Time. Maybe today won't be so bad after all.
Several hours later I ran out of things to watch. I sighed and ran up to my room. Maybe some of my friends were on? I checked my Skype messages to find nothing. I hate having different time zones. I thought for a moment, I wonder how the tournament went. I pressed a button on my keyboard and typed Minecraft into the search bar. The launch screen popped up and I smiled. I clicked Multiplayer and read the description under Mineplex. "The tournament has been moved to today, as the server could not hold enough people for the tournament yesterday." My whole face lit up. I was actually able to be in the tournament! I started jumping up and down until I heard my Skype going off. I looked at the contact, No Name. I had never talked to this person, but I was curious so I answered anyways. "Hello," I asked. The person immediately hung up. "Well that was weird...." I thought to myself.
Later on in the day I joined Mineplex. I had told Lacy about what happened and about how the tournament was moved to today. She was a little weirded out by the person that called, but she told me good luck for the tournament. I assured her that I would try my hardest and win it for her.
Once I logged in I was in a world made up of blocks. The trees swayed and the sky looked beautiful because of the shaders. The owner of Mineplex was on and I messaged him, asking him for my spot in the tournament. He knew me very well, and replied back quickly saying yes and teleporting me to the arena. It almost looked like a bunch of floating islands, but it was surrounded by thousands of people sitting on bleachers. I looked around me amazed. All the outside rings looked the same, but the one in the middle looked very special. There was a small pair of stairs that led up to the special arena, but it was blocked by an iron door. The outside rings were the favorite maps of One in the Quiver, while the middle was an all new map. The middle map was almost like a mini version of the entire arena itself. The tiny islands all connected to a larger one in the middle, but instead of water everything was lava. The bridges connecting the islands were made of parkour, broken up bridges with 3 or 4 block jumps. Just then the next person to join the game made me gulp. This was going to be a lot harder than I anticipated.
