Kayla's Pov.
I wasn't going to jump. That wouldn't be smart. I watched as the two guards slowly walked towards me while I backed up. I checked my back pocket and felt for my phone. It was still there, thank god. I had a plan of escape. It would work perfectly, I knew it.
The two guards grabbed me, both keeping a firm grip on my arms as they dragged me down a long hallway. I watched and made a mental note of every turn we made.
Right... Straight... Right... Left... Straight... Straight...
Finally we stopped at a door. One of the guards turned the knob and pushed it open. The other threw me in and slammed the door. I hit the ground hard, slamming my knee on the doorframe on the way in. I groaned in pain as I slowly stood up. I looked around the dark room squinting my eyes. Finally my eyes landed on a table and two chairs. In one of the chairs sat a dark figure. I turned towards the door and tried to knob, but it wouldn't budge. I checked for a light switch, but didn't find one.
Suddenly a light switched on above the table. In the chair sat Harry. "Of course it's you," I grumbled quietly. "Come here," he called over. I rolled my eyes and trudged over to the table. "Sit," he said while motioning to the chair.
To defy his command I sat on the table. "In the chair," he said a bit annoyed. I turned the chair around and sat in it incorrectly. "Correctly," he grumbled. "Make me," I sassed him. "Fine, have it your way," he said.
He pressed a button resting on the table and one of the guards walked in. The guard asked, "What do you need?" "Make her sit correctly," Harry demanded. "As you wish," sighed the guard. I sat with my arms crossed over my chest and watched as he approached. He picked me up with little effort and turned the chair around with his other arm. He then almost threw me down in the chair and said, "Stay." I gave him a death glare and he walked out.
"So would you like to answer a few questions for me?" Harry asked. "Why should I," I spat. "If you don't, then I will just have to force it out of you," he said sinisterly. "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling a bit parched," I said while tapping the table. The tapping seemed to annoy him, so he said, "Maybe if you would quit tapping I would get you some water." I stopped, so he got up and walked to the other side of the room. I pulled out my phone and pressed record before putting it back in my pocket.
When Harry returned with water he slammed it down on the table, "Happy?" I smiled and said, "Yes," while taking a sip. Harry started, "Now answer these questions for me. Why did you try to escape?" "Well that's kind of an obvious answer. You kidnapped me and I don't want to stay here. How about that for an answer," I sassed him a bit. "Okay, well then tell me why you ended up here," Harry continued. "Well I wasn't about to jump out of a 3rd story window, especially with no one to catch me," I stated. "Well now that you are here, would you like to know why?" Harry asked. "Well duh," I said while taking another sip of my water. "The main purpose you are here is to get to London. She knows what I want and why I want it," he said. "That doesn't make sense. What would you want?" I asked confused. "What I want is revenge," Harry said a bit demonically. He acted as if possessed with the urge for revenge. "Why?" I asked. He slammed his fist on the table while standing up, "For Joel! She killed Joel! She is the reason why he killed himself. She is the reason for all of this," he said angrily. "Umm... May I ask who Joel is?" I whispered. "My younger brother..." Harry sighed calming down a bit.
"May I ask where we are?" I said a bit more normally. Harry answered simply, "We are in the old abandoned hotel about 30 minutes outside of town. You know, the one everyone thinks is haunted?" "Ew, we are in that dump?" I asked while scrunching up my nose, "I'm definitely not sleeping here."
"Do you want to test that?" Harry asked while holding up a long butcher knife. "Umm, no knives please," I stated. "Then you are sleeping here," Harry said confidently. "Over my dead body," I fired back. He grabbed my arm and made a small cut across it while I screamed in pain. "Rude..." I grumbled while clamping my hand over the cut. I wiped away the small tears that had formed at the corners of my eyes and stood up, "I'm going back to my room." "Oh sweetie, only if that were true," Harry said while standing up and pressing the button on the table.
The door opened and one of the guards walked in. I looked back at Harry to see what he was going to say, but he said nothing. I stared at him, trying to read his face for any information, but found none. The only thing that I could draw to conclusion was that he looked menacing with the knife in his hand. I wasn't sure what he was going to do, but I wasn't going to stick around to find out.
As the guard walked up to me I juked around him and sprinted out the door. I took the phone out of my pocket and looked at the screen. It was still recording, and now it could see my face. I looked into the camera and said, "I'm going to have to jump out of the 3rd story window in 30 minutes... Mitch... Please tell me you will catch me." I wiped a tear from my face and whispered, "I love you..."
I ended the recording and sent it to Mitch before I could reconsider my decision. I was going to jump out of a 3rd story window in 30 minutes. In 30 minutes I could be dead, left limp in a broken position on the cold cement. I continued to run as fast as I could, dodging around several corners. I did whatever I could to put distance between Harry, the guards, and I.
That's the end to another long awaited chapter. Don't kill me please, I love you. No? Then that's my cue to run! See you later loves! Have a wonderful and safe day!
