London's Pov.
I slowly woke up and waited for my eyes to adjust. I could only see white around me, but then I felt it. My entire body was sore. I looked down at my arms and saw 2 large cuts across my wrist. There were several IV's going into my arms, so I cringed.
Suddenly it all came back to me. I must have hit a vein when I cut... Tears started to stream down my face and I remembered the emotional pain that caused me to cut.
"You still deserve it," I thought in my head. I slowly sat up in the hospital bed and pulled out the IV's. "You don't belong here," I thought to myself.
I got dressed and slowly peeked out of my room. No one was around, but I still decided to take the back stairwell. I slowly crept down the stairs, trying to block out the pain.
Once I reached the bottom of the stairs, I pushed open the door and took a few turns before reaching an exit. I pushed open the doors to my freedom from this retched place. "I'm home free," I thought as I began walking.
After several minutes I came up on a bridge. "Perfect," I whispered to myself. I walked to the middle of the bridge and climbed up on the small wall they had to keep people from falling off. I sat there on the edge to think about everything that has happened.
Jerome's Pov.
I woke up a bit late this morning and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. I slowly climbed out of bed and threw on some clothes. I brushed my teeth and combed through my hair a bit. I made myself a quick sandwich and headed off to the hospital.
Once I arrived there I headed straight for London's room. Once I entered the room I stopped in my tracks. London wasn't there. I turned and ran down to the main lobby. I walked up to the desk and asked, "Have you seen London Stotts?" "London Stotts? I don't think I've seen her, I'm sorry," the lady at the desk replied.
"Where is she...?" I whispered frustratedly while running my hands through my hair.
London's Pov.
I thought about Joel and moved a bit closer to the edge. It was all my fault... Everything is my fault. Kayla would be safe right now if I hadn't screwed up. The world would be so much better without me here.
A tear slid down my face as I thought about Jerome. I heard everything he said when he burst into that bathroom. I didn't believe a word of it though. I am not beautiful in any way. I didn't deserve anyone like Jerome, and I knew it for a fact. He was too perfect. I took another step towards the edge.
All of the good times I shared with the team flashed through my mind. More tears. I remembered the first day I met Kayla. She seemed so happy to meet me. I took one step backwards away from the river below.
I thought about how Harry bullied me. All of the names I had been called throughout the years. "Ugly, stupid, fat, worthless, annoying, slut," I thought to myself. I took one more step towards the edge. One more step and I would fall to a watery death.
I was on the edge of falling. "1 more reason I should be dead," I whispered. "I don't deserve to live. It would benefit everyone if I were gone. Jerome will find someone else," I whispered. I slowly turned around and closed my eyes with my back to the river.
"Goodbye..." Another tear slid down my cheek. "I will miss you all so very much..." I spread my arms out like a bird. I felt the wind hitting the backs of my arms and legs.
Someone yelled in the distance. I quickly opened my eyes and saw a little boy, probably about 12, running towards me. He was screaming, "Wait!" I hopped off of the wall and back onto the sidewalk. There was no way I was going to let a little kid see me jump.
He ran up to me and hugged me tight. "I know you," he was saying. "What is your name?" I asked. "I'm Aiden, a royal member of the Team Crafted Army," he said proudly. I smiled slightly and ruffed up his hair, "Would you like to meet the team?" He jumped up and down, "YES!!" "Come on, let's go," I said while pulling him by the hand.
Jerome's Pov.
I drove around for what seemed like hours, but found not a single sign of London. Finally I decided to head back to the house.
Once I arrived I heard screaming from inside. I quickly bursted through the door, but was caught my surprise. A little boy ran up to me screaming, "JEROME!" I hugged him back and patted his head, "What is your name?" I heard London's voice, "His name is Aiden."
I quickly shot up and looked in her direction. There she stood looking beautiful as ever. "I was so worried," I sighed. "Thank Aiden. If it weren't for him I wouldn't be here right now," she replied.
I walked over to her and gave her a huge hug. "Our London is back," I said to the rest of the group.
Hello! I'm still in Minnesota, but I decided I had time to update! It's kind of easy to write when there's the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks in the lake, the birds tweeting with joy, and my cousin calmly strumming his guitar. I could get used to this ^.^
Anyways, how are you guys? Enjoy the chapter? I understand there's parts in the story that don't make sense, but I'm just making it up as I go along. Sadly, I have a feeling this book might be coming to an end. I know, I know. The salt levels are so high right now. Although, I think there will be 1 more chapter and possibly an epilogue. We'll see I guess.
Have a wonderful and safe day loves!
