I am so excited!!!!!
There was a very nice lady who helped us check in, and a gentleman in a uniform and everything who showed us to our cabin. They were both very considerate, making sure everything was set up in the cabin we are staying in.
The cabin!!! It is so cool! It's like a real log house! There is a bedroom for Mom and dad, and a room with bunk beds! Mom said I could sleep on the top if I wanted. And I want to!! Today is a day I wish I had brothers or sisters to sleep in the other bunk beds. We could have pillow fights to determine who got top!
I'd win of course, lol 😜
The man's name is John, and he's going to take Mom and I out in a jeep tomorrow. We are going to look for real wolves! Some of the wolves get shot😱 but only with tranquilizers 😂 then they put big collars on them. I'm surprised the wolves don't chew them off somehow!
Mom says I have to go to bed now because we are heading out early. We are doing a picnic lunch and everything! I think Mom would enjoy it more is she wasn't so worried about everything.😓
I'll write more tomorrow for you my lovely wolves. Mom won't let me keep the window open to listen for wolves, but I'm gonna strain my ears anyway!
Howl away my wolves because I want to hear EVERYONE🐺🐺🐺
Goodnight for now...

And Good morning! I couldn't see making a separate chapter just for last night😜Did I ever mention that my mom can cook? She was in a good mood this morning. She cooked up what she called a real country breakfast. We had potatoes cut in little squares fried up, some ham slices, and scrambled eggs with cheese. I was stuffed!!
While I finished breakfast, Mom loaded stuff up for the trip out to the wilderness. Mom is so great she even brought my favorite stuffed animal. Guess what it is? A wolf of course!!! I've been taking it everywhere with me lately. Of course I had to bring my wolf to meet real wolves😂 She has coffee in a thermos, my special drinks, even snacks!
And guess what happened then?????
Mom gave me a present😍
It's a beautiful knit hat she made herself! I was so surprised. She said she learned how to knit while I was in the hospital. It's beautiful! She got the biggest hug ever right there! I was speechless🙊
It's white with pink in the front and not just a little bit of pink, but a special detailed line! The center has the pink ribbon for cancer😍
My mom was paying attention. All those times when I talked about being a wolf and I thought maybe she was just zoning me out, she wasn't! She made me a white hat with a pink tiara knitted in so that I can pretend to be a white wolf with my pink tiara in my fur, while we are out in the wild!!!!!!!!!
She ruined the perfect morning just a little bit by trying to bundle me up in this big blanket in the back of the Jeep. I am slightly ashamed because I fussed at her again when I was trying so hard not to! It was a nice day! I didn't want to be bundled up in some big old blanket. But, mother knows best she says😂
I'll write more when we get back😘😘😘

(I should do this and write something in Morris code but I don't know it😂 dots and dashes🙈)
~••~~~•••~~~•••~~•~•~~••~~•~•Part of me really doesn't want to write anything my beautiful wolves😭 I want a dozen doors to slam😱🙊🙊🙊
The ride itself was exciting! Yellowstone is so beautiful! I'm not going to let what didn't happen ruin the good parts that did happen! It's a very important philosophy. A good moment doesn't stop being good just because something bad happens.
We saw Old Faithful! It's amazing the things that God put in the world! There is so much beauty! I was facinated by all of it!
John told us about how the wolves helped shape Yellowstone. When the wolves had been hunted off it let the elk come in and eat all the vegetation. It was even affecting things like soil erosion that we learned about in school! That soil erosion meant the rivers themselves were affected because of the lack of wolves! When the wolves were brought back, the elk changed where they ate. All sorts of things happened then! Things got better for Yellowstone!
I'm glad John likes wolves too. He said he's the marksman that hunts them down to shoot them with the tranquilizers.... from a helicopter! He has to have the best job ever! Taking care of wolves!
We had lunch at this wonderful spot! John made sure we were somewhere we could use the restroom. Good thing too because Mom drank a lot of coffee😂 Then off to find wolves we went!
Only we didn't find any😓
We were near where it said they were. John thought maybe they ran off when they heard the jeep. They went through areas it was hard to follow in a vehicle. I was all for going on foot! Both Mom and John vetoed that idea😡
So even though I came all the way out here, I didn't see not one wolf except for the stuffed one I brought with me 😭. John tried very hard! Even when Mom wanted to head back, John wanted to try one more area. We got back after spending the whole day in the wild on a very fruitless search.
But I did spend a whole day in an absolutely gorgeous wilderness pretending I was a wolf running as fast as that jeep was traveling😜
I'll admit, it was a long day, and I was exhausted when we stopped at the ranger station on the way back to use the restrooms there.
Mom thought I was too tired to run in the 5k tomorrow. She said maybe I shouldn't! I told her otherwise!!! I've been working hard every day I felt good, and even sometimes when I wasn't feeling so great but didn't tell her🙊
Running in the marathon is as close as I'm ever going to get to knowing what it feels like to run in the wild with a pack! I know it's nothing, and I mean nothing like what a storybook midnight full moon run would be like with a werewolf pack. With a werewolf pack, you would have that special connection to your packmates! I won't even know these people😓
Dad is going with me tomorrow, running at my side. I'm going to pretend he's the pack alpha😂 I had to promise that if I got tired I'd let them know and someone would drive us back.
So I'm off to bed now so I'm not tired! So howl in whispers my wonderful wolves 🐺 so I get a good night's rest😘
