So my friend down the street has a dog that had puppies! My mom took me down so I could play with them for a bit.
I didn't understand how they could look so different. Some were brown with short hair, some had long hair, some had short legs, some had long legs... they didn't even have matching tails! Some were out and fluffy and a few curled around over the puppies backs.
My favorite was a soft silky long haired black puppy. His hair was silkier than any of the others. I didn't understand how such different pups could have the same parents!
My friend's dad said that if the mother had been with more than one male dog, then the puppies could have different daddies and that's why the puppies look so different. He figured there were probably three different daddies for those puppies!!!
Now I'm wondering how I can work that into my story. Do you think it could work?
