Luka's POV
"We can still catch them." Malia says. Scott turns to her, confused for a moment.
"Catch who?" Scott asks. I give him a worried look, sensing that something's off about him.
"The killer. What are you thinking about?" Malia asks.
"Getting the bullet back to Argent." Scott says.
"Even if he's the one who fired it?" Lydia asks.
"Especially if he's the one." Scott says. I move closer to him, pulling him away from the girls.
"Scott, you okay?" I ask. He nods.
"I'm fine. Don't worry." Scott says. He suddenly looks around. "Do you hear that?" He asks, looking over at Malia.
"Heartbeats?" Malia asks.
"A lot of them. They're here." Scott says.
"Who's here?" I ask.
"Hunters. Run." Scott says, and he starts running.
"Scott, wait!" Malia shouts, and we start running after him. We catch up to him in time to see him attacking my dad.
"Scott!" I scream, running over to him.
"Scott! Scott, it's me!" Dad says. I put a hand on Scott's shoulder, attempting to pull him off of Dad. Startled, Scott turns to me and pushes me back, with enough force to knock me to the ground. He seems to come back to us, but his eyes are still glowing red. I stare at him with wide eyes, partially out of shock. "Okay, okay. It's okay." Dad says, putting an arm around Scott, shielding him from the eyes of the other police officers. "Everybody, stay back. He's just a kid." Dad says to the officers.
"What's wrong with his eyes?" Officer Vargas asks, not lowering her gun.
"You heard the Sheriff." Parrish says, stepping in front of Dad, shielding Scott farther. "Stand down." The other officers reluctantly lower their guns. I stand up and dust myself off, then walk over to Scott.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Scott says to me. I shake my head.
"It's okay. I'm okay. Look. See? Not a scratch." I say, holding out my arms. He lets out a shaky breath and looks at Dad.
"I'm really sorry. You don't think they saw anything, do you?" Scott asks.
"No more than what they're used to. You wanna tell me what happened here?" Dad asks, gesturing to the dead Hellhound.
"He's a Hellhound." Parrish says.
"A dead Hellhound." Malia says.
"Yep. Got that." Dad says.
"Well, I don't get it. I didn't think you could kill a Hellhound." Parrish says.
"Looks a lot easier than we thought." Malia says.
"You got anything to add?" Dad asks Scott. I watch him play with the bullet shell before putting it back in his pocket.
"Yeah. I don't think it was just any bullet." Scott says.
"I hope not." Parrish says.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Lydia asks Scott.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Scott counters.
"Why didn't either of you say anything?" Malia asks. "Wait, was I supposed to say something?" She looks at me.
"Don't look at me. Just because the Sherriff happens to be my dad... Wait, did you want me to say something because my dad's the Sherriff?" I ask. Scott sighs.
