* I just wanted to note that just because these are listed as clichés, you shouldn't remove these as plot points if it makes your story more difficult to right or unnecessarily complicated. If removing a cliché harms your story, who cares, keep it and treasure it.
That being said, this can be a new plot point if you're missing some. A Clan without a medicine cat being targeted by other Clans, an apprentice being pressured into studying herbs or the entire Clan uniting to learn medicinal practices. Beware! You may fall into the trap of "unwilling medicine cats," which is arguably a cliché that is, in fact, not good.
