* Kinda hard to pull off, since retirement is far less memorable than death or becoming leader. I feel like this also stems from the problem of neglecting elders. It's just "too hard" to continue writing this character but old, let's just kill em off! It really depends on your own story, since retirement can be a hard plot point to slot in.
