The prophecies can be painfully obvious.
Hero: Gleamheart
Villain: BloodclawThe Gleam of light shall defeat the darkness of Blood.
* I don't think this is a big problem now, but just in case, c'mon. Put some extra brain cells into this.
Also, I probably mention this later, but prophecies always being so closed just doesn't feel right. The Gleam of light "shall" defeat the darkness of Blood. We know what's going to happen, so why bother? I want to see some more open-ended and unsure prophecies.
Also also, I think this is neat if a closed prophecy is twisted somehow. The MC will defeat the villain, but maybe the method they use is abhorrent and leaves the Clan devastated. Maybe Bloodclaw wasn't a villain at all. Maybe Gleamheart doesn't kill Bloodclaw, maybe Bloodclaw wasn't in the prophecy at all, maybe the prophecy was faked. Maybe the story is about how badly Gleamheart doesn't want to prophecy to come true.
