There is no cat with social anxiety or just shy. I'm not sure about introverts. But everyone can have fluent speeches and dialogue without a hint of discomfort.

* I partly disagree, but also agree?? There are cats with anxiety, definitely. The problem comes with how they interact with others. You can't have a supposedly shy cat that can handle conversations with flying colours or make a grand speech.
Also, give your shy characters different levels of comfort. Maybe they can be crass and playful with family and close friends, but become stiff if their immediate circle is too large. Maybe they're friendly with the entire Clan but practically become mute with outsiders.
