As Jack, Rose and Fabrizio are about to walk out of the bank, Ruth and Cal come in. "Oh no..." Rose says. Jack looks around until he finally realizes what Rose is talking about and he takes her and hides her behind a pillar. Cal walks over to the same man who just helped Rose with the money. "I'd like to take money out of a file." Cal says. "Last name?" The man asks him. "Hockley, first name Rose." Cal replies. The man shoots Cal a confused look. "Rose Hockley? She just took her money out, that file is empty, and temporarily closed." The man tells Cal. "Rose was here, she took the money. She's a smart girl." Cal says to Ruth. Ruth sighs, worried about where her daughter could be. "Well, we have to find her Cal." Ruth says to Cal. Cal turns away from Ruth to look back at the man. "Can I reopen this account?" Cal asks the man. "You can, but not without a signature from whom it is listed under, in this case, Mrs. Rose, actually, she just left about 10 minutes ago, she shouldn't be too far." The man informs Cal.
Rose and Jack had been peeking from around the Pillar hoping that they would not be caught. "I knew he would come back for the money. I just wish he never knew I was still alive." Rose whispered aloud while going back behind the pillar. Just as she says this, Cal sees Jacks face. "Rose, we got to move." Jack grabs Rose by the hand, and takes her running out the bank doors and around the corner. They didn't feel this was enough so they ran further making a difficult path for Cal to follow. They hear him screaming after them, but the further they get, the more faded his voice sounds. When they finally reach a point where they can no longer hear his voice they stop and catch their breath remembering a similar situation while aboard Titanic. Jack hugs Rose, while Fabrizio is just now catching up to them.
As the three sit on a nearby bench, catching their breaths and relaxing, a voice calls out from across the street. "Fabrizio?" a woman's voice shouts. A woman with blonde hair approaches the three. "Fabrizio!" The girl says while throwing her arms up to hug him. "Helga! You're okay??" Fabrizio shouts in excitement. Fabrizio spent most of Titanic's voyage with this woman he met while aboard. They were forced to say their goodbyes when the ship began sinking, thinking they would never see each other again. "What are you doing? Where are you going to stay?" Fabrizio questioned Helga. "I don't know, Fabrizio, none of my family made it. They wouldn't let my father on the life boat and my mother went on another one with my sister, but I haven't yet seen her. I've been alone since I departed with my father." Helga says, her eyes full of tears. "That's horrible, I'm so sorry Helga." Fabrizio says pulling her into a comforting hug. Rose stands up and walks over to them.
"I don't mean to be rude, but I overheard your conversation." Rose say while pulling out two hundred dollars. "why don't you two take this money, and be with each other?" Rose says handing it to them. "No, we couldn't do tha-" Helga begins. "Take it" Rose said. Fabrizio and Helga both hug her "Thank you for having me with you this whole time, and for this money. I wish you both the best and hope to get in touch with you soon." Fabrizio says, then runs to Jack and hugs him. "I'll see you soon Jack!" He says to Jack. Helga and he then make their way down the street, turning back once more to wave and go on to begin a life together.
"So, do you want to take a walk?" Jack asks Rose. Rose smiles and nods and reaches for Jacks hand as the begin down the street in the opposite direction. "You want to know something?" Rose asks Jack. He smiles, "Yes?" "I never loved Cal." Rose paused "I felt trapped. There's just so much you should know about me Jack." She looked him in the eyes, then looked forward. "Well, we have our whole lives but we can start now. You tell me about you, I'll tell you about me. But, you start Rose." Jack tells her. Rose then continues on, "Well, you see, my father left my mother and I with no money. Our only way back into what was called, the riches, was for me to marry Cal. It was arranged. Although I can admit, there was a time, a very short while that I did find him attractive, and thought, well maybe this could work out, but nothing inside me told me it was going to work. I never really felt something with Cal. I tried, but there was never anything really there. And the reason I'm really telling you this is because you helped me realize that." Rose told Jack. "Oh yeah? How did I do that?" Jack wondered. "Well, I remember I was eating lunch with a few people, Cal and mother included, along with Molly and Mr. Ismay, and well, I just remember being fed up with Cal in one ear, and mother in the other." Rose Paused "Someone always telling me what to do. I walked out on the deck, only for a man to be staring at me a few minutes later. That man was you." Jack blushes "Well, I-I-" Jack began before Rose cut him off, "I couldn't help but stare too. Something about you was speaking my name. I knew it was wrong, but I was drawn to you Jack. I felt it in that moment and I feel it right now. I ignored it obviously, but when you saved me that same night, I knew it had to be." Rose said, still looking forward. "You know, my friends laughed at me, thinking I didn't stand a chance. If I knew then what I knew now, I'd be laughing right back." Jack chuckled, kissing Rose on her forehead, and continuing walking.
"Well, Mr. Dawson, I do believe you said something about telling me about who you are" Rose smirked. "Well, there's not much to say, I've been an open book about who I am since we met. You know with the traveling on small amounts of money, the drawing, but along with that, I never really told you how that life style came to be permanent for me." Jack said. "Well, how?" Rose asked impatiently. "Well, you see, my parents died a while back when I was just a kid. From there on, my uncle took me in; he didn't have much of a choice. The problem with that was he was an alcoholic, and kind of abusive. I was the youngest in the household and for some reason he thought that was an excuse to push me around the most. Instead of allowing him to continue treating me that way, I packed a sketch pad, a few pencils, clothes, and I left. From there, I sketched whatever I found beauty in. Some things I sold to make money, others I kept for myself. I did this for a few years before I met Fabrizio's family. They took me in and treated me as their own, and Fabrizio and I became best friends." Jack finished. "Wow, I could never imagine going through such a hard time. I'm sorry." Rose says with sympathy while hugging him tightly. "I'm better now, I'm with you, we're going to start a life, and I will do anything to make sure you're always taken care of. Don't worry Rose, we'll be very happy." Jack reassured Rose while the two of them continue down the street.
