(17)Early Arrival

*** Recap; "That's not all Rose, there is one more thing." Jack said. Everyone looked at him confused. He walked in front of Rose and then got down on one knee. He reached back into his pocket and removed the box once more. Everyone in the room already began gasping and getting excited. "Rose, since the day I met you, I knew I was in love. I was willing to die for you the first time we ever talked. I would still die for you, and now for our little angel. You are the piece to complete me, and I don't know where I would be with out you, but where ever I go, you make my days better. I wasn't planning on having a baby just yet, but I am glad that we are, as long as it is with you. I love you so much Rose." He announced while opening the box, "with that being said, Rose, will you marry me?" Jack asked, nervously. Everyone can be heard in the back chanting "Say yes! Say yes!". "Yes Jack, oh my goodness, this is beautiful!" Rose said, tears rolling down her cheeks as Jack put the ring on Rose's finger. Rose and Jack both stood up, and Jack lightly kissed Rose. "I love you!" They said in unison. ***

       After the party, Jack offered to clean the entire house.  The guests stayed back to help him out a bit.  Rose barely heard a word they muttered to her due to her new fascination with the diamond on her hand.  It wasn't as big and luxurious as the one Cal gave her, and for some reason, that made her love it even more.  Jack and his friends were just cleaning up the dishes, and wiping down the counters when suddenly Jack snuck a peek over in Rose's direction.  A smirk appeared on his face.  The smirk quickly turned into a large smile, and then transitioned into a soft giggle.  He hadn't noticed, but Rose happened to hear his 'not so quiet' giggling.  Although her focus from the ring never broke, she still spoke up.  "What's so funny darling?" She innocently asked.  Jack was a bit surprised that she had heard his laughing.  "Oh nothing, I just find it adorable how fascinated you are with that ring.  You haven't looked away from it since I put it on your finger." Jack said while letting out another giggle.  Rose lost her poker face and a small smirk appeared on her face.  The two shared a completely comfortable silence and Jack then returned to his work.  After the clean up was finished, everyone said their goodbye's and left.

       Rose made her way into the bathroom to prepare herself for bed.  She brushed her teeth, combed through her hair, washed her face, and removed her makeup.  Then she made her way into the bed room, where Jack could be found sketching whilst in his pajamas already.  "You waste no time changing" Rose joked.  "You take so much time preparing" Jack joked back.  They both laughed. "Well, I need to change, but you could use the bathroom now, my love." Rose informed him.  Jack smirked. "I'll wait until you're done" he teased.  Rose blushed. "Jack, stop!" She laughed and looked away turning red.  Jack walked over to her, "I'm only joking hon."  He kissed her forehead and left the room for Rose's comfort and to take care of himself.  Rose smiled and watched him walk away. 'What a perfect gentleman' she whispered aloud to herself. After he had fully exited the room, Rose began to undress and change into her night gown.  She made her way into the bed where she tucked herself in perfectly, and continued to stare at her finger.  Jack had finished brushing his teeth and made his way back in to catch her staring at the ring again.  He began to giggle again. "All right! That's enough, Rose" he teased. He got into the bed and pulled her close to him.  "Do you like it that much? It's all I could afford, and it was the biggest one I found for that price." Jack said, he had been upset her couldn't do more for her. "Jack... I absolutely love this ring. I don't want another huge ring, you didn't even have to buy me one with a gem on it.  I love you, all I really want is to be with you." Rose admitted avoiding eye contact with her lover.  Jack blushed.  "Okay Rose" He smirked as she finally broke focus from the ring and nuzzled her face into his chest.  He kissed her head and rested his chin on top of it.  "I love you." Jack said softly, dozing off.  "I love you too, Jack." Rose replied.  They both drifted to sleep, holding each other close.

       Rose woke up to the worst pain she had ever felt. She looked over at the clock. It was only 3:30 in the morning.  "Why is the bed wet?" she thought to herself. She groaned in pain and grabbed her stomach. "Ow!" she yelped. Jack woke up, "What's wrong, Rose?" He asked in a very concerned voice. "I...I.. think my water broke." Rose said.  Jack begun to panic.  He got up and ran outside, and went down to the busy street to get the nearest taxi.  After about three minutes, he finally got one's attention. He ran over to the passenger side window. "You've got to help me, my wife is in labor and we don't have a car!" Jack jumped into the taxi and showed the cab driver their house. "I'll go get her" Jack said. The taxi driver waited outside the house. Jack ran back inside to get Rose. "Rose, put your slippers on, I got a taxi, come on!" Jack told her.  Rose got up, slowly and carefully, and put her slippers on. She made her way out to the taxi, taking on step at a time down the stairs with Jack's assistance.  Jack and her got into the cab. Rose grabbed Jack's hand. The pain was growing worse. Her eyes begun to fill with tears. She let out a scream. "It's okay Rose, I'm right here, okay? You'll be okay." Jack said, he then looked at the cab driver, "Can you try to hurry, I don't know how long we've got!" Jack said in a panicky but polite tone.  The cab driver sped up a bit, at a safe speed to make it to the hospital.  When they arrive Jack assisted Rose into the lobby.  "My wife is about to give birth, we need some assistance." He yelled out. He knew they weren't married yet, but he referred to her as his wife anyway.  A nurse rushed over to them with a wheel chair and wheeled her into a birthing room. Jack followed. "I'm going to get the doctor now!" The nurse told the couple.  

       After about 10 minutes, a doctor finally made his way to their room.  Rose had been crying, and holding her stomach in pain.  She was groaning in pain.  "Hello Rose, I'm going to take a look to see how dilated you are so we can birth your beautiful baby."  The doctor said in a calming tone.  He then went on to see how dilated Rose was. "Oh, you're definitely ready to give birth." The doctor said.  "Nurse, go get some assistance, she's ready!" The doctor called out to the nurse.  A few other nurses rushed in and made their way to Rose.  Jack had been right beside her holding her hand and comforting through it all. "Push!" the doctor yelled.  Rose felt like she was pushing out all of her insides.  She was crying, and sweating.  she never knew child birth would be so painful.  The doctor kept telling her to push, and when he did, she would push.  After about two hours, Rose was finally able to give birth to their baby boy.  

      "Congratulations on your new baby boy! Do you want to cut the cord?" The doctor asked Jack.  Jack smile, "Of course!" He jumped up with excitement.  Jack cut the cord and sat back down next to Rose.  He grabbed her hand again, and caressed it softly. He looked her in her eyes and smiled.  He allowed a few tears to come rolling down his cheek.  They were both so happy.  When the nurse finished cleaning the baby off, she wrapped him up and brought him over to Rose. "Here is your baby boy" The nurse said, smiling.  Rose took her baby and began crying tears of joy.  Jack smiled. "He's perfect." Rose muttered.  "What should we name him?" Jack asked her. "I like Leo" Rose said. Jack smiled, "Then his name shall be Leo, darling." Jack said.  He kissed Rose on her fore head and they both smiled. The nurse came back into the room with a hospital crib.  "If you two want to catch some sleep, you can set him down in here. She is going to be in here a few days.

I want to make this a two part because she will be in the hospital a few days and I want to be very detailed with not too long chapters.  So glad to be back, I missed you all!!!
