I want to be over you,
I desperately plea for closure from all the,
Mixed signals,
And,
Empty stares,
And,
Meaningless words.
Every night before I sleep,
While my tears dampen my skin,
I tell myself it's the last night I cry over you,
Because the sadness of knowing you like someone else,
Are with someone else,
Hurts,
And I just want to be numb from it.
So I beg of you,
Let me free,
I don't think of you and you don't speak to me,
We'll be cold for a while,
I can't stand being friends,
And eventually maybe we'll talk again.
But until I can go a night without thinking of you,
I have to keep convincing myself I'm over you.
