He looked at me,
Like no one ever had before,
And he smiled,
With such a fake smile. He tried to make me happy,
When no one could help me,
But the truth is,
He was broken too.I looked into his eyes,
And saw beauty and dreams,
But when he looked in mine,
He saw nightmares and sadness. That's why he ran.
As he breaks my heart,
And says goodbye,
The hurt in his eyes,
Shines so bright.He walks out,
He leaves me,
And my heart shatters,
To a thousand pieces. Why did you let me,
Fall in love with,
The way your eyes sparkle,
And glisten? Why did you let me,
Become so desperate,
For your heart,
And your love? Why did you let me,
Need your smile,
So I could wake up
Every day?Why did you let me,
Fall in love with you,
When all you would give back,
Is my hollow heart?
