Welcome readers to this new adventure. I have put so much thought and time into where I want this book to go. I am looking forward to making you all fall in love with each character.
The busy streets of downtown Hurdleton are hustling and bustling today. I just finished my last Dance exam ever and my brain is fried. Three years have gone by since I started at the academy and I have dedicated so many hours and energy to my dance studies. I make my way through the crowds of people to my favourite cafe. My three best friends and boyfriend are meeting me there. Darius' smile makes everything better. It was the first thing I found attractive when I met him a few years ago. I live with my three best friends. So they saw me amidst all my stressing this morning. I'm glad its all over. Darius studies at the Dance academy too. But he's studying a different genre. He wants to be a choreographer for music videos.
"Woo! There's our girl!" Adley cheers as soon as I push open the glass doors of Puzzles. It's such a crazy name for a cafe but I kinda like it. All four of my favourite people gather me in a group hug.
"How was it?" Naya asks kissing my cheek.
"I got a little confused by the wording of a couple of questions. But other than that it was alright, I feel relatively confident," I say taking a seat in the booth my friend's have claimed. Darius takes this opportunity to give me a quick peck of congratulations.
"Woohoo you graduate next week how exciting is that?!" Darius declares doing a little happy dance next to me.
"A week until we can holiday for at least three months! I mean we gotta reward ourselves right?" Fleur says. She's right after three years of being boxed in at the Academy or University for my three friends, we need a long break. Summer is gonna be so great.
"Oh I should probably go order myself a drink," I rise from my seat only to be tugged back down into my seat.
"I already ordered you one," Darius informs me.
"We should go out tonight to celebrate," Adley our resident bad girl says with her eyes lighting up. Her idea of a night out is a lot different to mine.
"Darius and I were actually thinking it would be cool to go out for dinner," Naya admits not in a way that shuts Adley's suggestion down just adding another idea to choose from.
"We could go out for dinner. Then go have a few drinks and a boogie afterwards. But not too many cause Darius will want to celebrate in the bedroom too. Just saying, gotta consider that fact," Fleur giggles a little at her own comment, whilst Darius smirks next to me. Naya shakes her laughing as Adley thumps Darius' back.
"Well it's gonna be a very long night for you then," Adley chuckles just as the waitress arrives with our drinks.
"Stop encouraging him," I laugh, before Darius can make a cheeky comment.
"I'm proud of you," Darius whispers in my ear as the girls discuss which restaurant we will be going to in hushed whispers. They love surprising me and I love that they put so much in effort into their surprises. Soon Naya walks outside with her phone to what I assume, call and make a reservation.
Fleur pulls my attention away from Naya by talking about her little sister's first day at school. Fleur stayed at her parents for a few days last week so she could be there. Her little sister is honestly a cutie. I only have an older sister so I adore my friend's younger siblings.
"Right so the reservation is for 7 so we have about 2 hours to get ready. Which is a rush for Fleur and Adley so we should get going as soon as possible," Naya says taking her seat once again. Most of us have finished our drinks anyway. Fleur just takes forever to drink frappés, it confuses me why she orders one every time we come to Puzzles.
