The day has come Rora and Carter are getting married. Both Darius and I are part of the wedding party and so are Ava and Ryder. We come from a very tight knit group of people don't we.
"Doesn't this whole line of hair and make up remind you of dance competitions?" Poppy, Rora's best friend laughs.
"Most definitely. But this time we are just the back up dancers to the beautiful main show," Hunter giggles clicking her fingers to a tune like a back up singer.
"I love you all so very much. It's true I couldn't have organised this day without you all. All of you have spent a day helping me with something. You guys are incredible," Rora says as the lady does her hair.
The wedding starts in an hour and a half. It really seems like not a lot of time but Rora has thought all of this out.
"Alexander is going to be the cutest ring bearer," Bella coos making my sister smile proudly, "who is the flower girl? You never told me who it was Rora."
"You," Rora laughs. The Park siblings are so savage, oh wow.
"I just get this image of Bella walking down the aisle on her knees throwing daisies," Hershey smirks. The lady doing her hair politely scolds her for moving around and it makes us laugh more.
"No stooop," Bella begs, trying to control her laughter.
"The flower girl is Kyra," Penelope laughs.
"Kyra doesn't have to arrive for another half hour. She'll just get her hair done, get a little blusher and lip gloss and she'll be ready," Rora explains.
"Oh my goodness Alexander has a wee crush on Kyra," Ava giggles.
"Well today is his lucky day," I laugh.
All together Rora has seven bridesmaids, she'd been planning on having her friend Ariel as a bridesmaid since she had started dating Carter but Ariel moved away and hasn't spoken to any of the girls since. This bridal party is fantastic. Carter's groomsmen are Zac, Darius, Ryder, Jackson, Rocky and Felix. It's funny how us South brother's girls are so close. It's cute and good for the guys that we get along so well. I can imagine if Bryn was alive Jessie would have been with us. It's a saddening thought that Bryn will miss his brother's wedding and even getting married himself. He died so young. But we have to push that thought aside and focus on Carter and Rora's big day.
"It's a bummer that Carter stole Rocky as his groomsman. Didn't you want him to be your maid of honour?" Hershey laughs.
"Yes but she had to settle for me and Ava," Poppy laughs, "Rora always says that Rocky and I are first equal but she's lying. He's number one by far," Poppy pretends to pout.
"Aha Rora I can relate to your situation. I have Tommy and Storm as first equal but there's a constant battle between the two of them. They are a couple too, so that ups the anti. It is crazy," Penelope shakes her head when her makeup artist walks away to grab the hair curler from her bag.
"That's why you just have your sister as your best friend," Ava and I say in unison.
"Woooah that was freaky," Bella raises her eyebrows to the annoyance of the girl is trying to apply her mascara.
The music begins to play and Kyra walks down the aisle with flower crown in her hair, Alexander walks beside her every few steps he will reach into the basket and grab a few flowers. I can see Carter chuckling and nudging Ryder who smiles proudly. It's still mind boggling that my brother in law, is going to be brother in law to my other brother in law when I get married. That's a lot of brother in law. Each of us bridesmaids begin to walk when the cute children are half way down the aisle. One by one we all walk out. When we reach the end we line up and wait for the main attraction, like the saying goes 'save the best till last'. Rora's dress is gorgeous, the radiant joy overflows into each pew that she passes. Carter gets a little teary upon seeing his gorgeous wife to be and who wouldn't be. She is 101/10.
It's one of those kind of weddings full of tears of happiness. Everything is beautiful and it goes with everything this couple stands for. They are the definition of sunshine and happiness. A bad boy turned good marries a beach babe model. Kind of crazy, kind of beautiful. All of the South boys are little rebellious well maybe a lot rebellious. But we love em anyway. Being in a relationship with a South brother takes you through a lot of twists and turns. But love wins always. Carter and Rora wrote their vows themselves, they come deep from within their hearts. These two have been through so much together. They anchor each other, they are another couple I look up to. I see Rocky sobbing and it's amazing how much he loves Rora. Once upon a time he was hoping he would be the one to marry Rora but now he stands as an engaged groomsman and he is the happiest I have ever seen him.
Just like a dancer should, the first dance is amazing. Rora and her Dad choreographed the majestic slow dance that makes me wish my dad was more coordinated. Us bridesmaids have also created a mashup dance better than any viral wedding dance. We even roped Rocky in because we knew Rora would love it. The food is good, the setting is good. It is giving me ideas. I know I may be getting ahead of myself. But it's okay to dream. The wedding reception finishes in the late afternoon and the couple leave for the Maldives as we all wave goodbye. It makes me think of so many movies and now it's real. I think I'm going to love getting married.
Sorry for this short chapter. I wasn't sure how to write it but I kind of like it this way. Pretty please vote and comment who your favourite character is.
