It's graduation day. After three years of working my butt off I will finally have a qualification to go further in my dancing career. The girls have woken me up with breakfast in bed- chocolate chip waffles with mascarpone cream. We are all snuggled in my bed eating and I feel so blessed to have the friends I do. They have all taken time off work to share this day with me.
"I am so proud of Emme," Naya says with her mouth full, "you have your goals set and you continue to reach for it. I love how you never give up. It is so inspiring."
"You are amazing Em," Adley kisses me on the head. I don't even care that she has cream on her lips, I can just wash it out later. I just want to make the most of every moment of today. It is a momentous occasion that I never want to forget. My phone begins to vibrate. I check the ID- Mummy.
"Hey Mummy."
"Hi darling, what time does the graduation start?"
"It starts at five, but I was thinking of going out to lunch. Do you and Dad want to come?"
"Aw sweetie we would love to, I always do the inviting you to things. I feel so special. Where are we going?"
"How about I call you in an hour after I have talked to my peeps. By then I will have decided."
"Alright poppet. Love you lots."
"I love you most Mummy."
"So we are going out to lunch. Where do you think we could have a large party of people?"
"We could go to the one we went to for Carlo's birthday," Fleur suggests crawling out of the blankets and sitting in front of me.
"Actually that would be great. They have great food and wonderful service," Adley nods.
"So you guys, my parents, I'll have to call Ava so I can invite her little family. I gotta invite Zac and Penelope. So I think that is fifteen. Wait I have to invite Carter and Rora too, seventeen. Wow that's all the people that are most important to me."
"Well you better get calling everyone. I will book the reservation," Naya climbs out of the bed and grabs her phone and Fleur.
"We could text the boyfriends, obviously Darius will be here soon so we can just tell him in person and he can tell his brothers. So really you just need to call Ava and your mum," Adley lies on my lap and hands me my phone.
"Mummy I will send you the address, the reservation is for 11:30 so we can have early lunch and then go get ready for the graduation," I say as soon as she picks up the phone.
"Alright honey. Dad and I are so excited we have a big gift to give you later tonight but I have something for you that I'll bring to lunch."
"Aw Mummy."
"You are my precious daughter. I am so proud of you. See you soon pumpkin."
"See you soon Mama. Love you billions."
"Me, you more."
"Alright Ads, Mum is done now just Ava then we better get ready."
"Wow yes we do. It's already 10:15, shit," Adley forward rolls of the bed and starts jumping up and down- it's her stress thing.
"Hey my beautiful sister, what's up?" Ava answers the phone and my heart flutters. Golly my sister is my favourite person.
"Uh we are going out for an early lunch with everyone. I want you to come."
"Well of course we'll be there. What time?"
"11:30 I'll send you the directions. I actually don't remember what it's called."
