I stood with Alice and Jasper as one of the science teachers took our permission slips for our field trip.
"Honestly, this field trips seems really dumb," I said quietly so only they could hear.
"That's because it is," Alice responded laughing.
"I don't understand why we have to go pretend to go be interested in plant life," I said whining, "everyone here knows we truly aren't. Even our teachers."
I felt a wave of happiness wash over me as Jasper slid his hand into mine.
"Gosh finally, her constant whining was annoying me," Edward joked sticking his tongue out.
'You're a big meanie head. You're back to being my least favorite family member,' I thought repeatedly so that Edward would hear it.
"Hey! That is mean!" he exclaimed finally, "Jasper, you're girlfriend is being mean to meeee."
I laughed at his whining and stuck my tongue at him, "Prove it."
"Okay," Jasper interrupted our fun, "all you five year olds need to get on the bus."

"ADELINE I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU," Edward finally said to me.
"Aww do you not like my song? I was singing it in my head just for you?"
I had pasted the time on the way to and from the greenhouse singing annoying songs within my head, just to see how long it would take until Edward exploded. It took 5.
The trip to the greenhouse was very uneventful for myself, though I did hear Edward and Bella talking. I ignored everything they said until the very end, when Edward was quite rude which was hilarious.
"Jasper guess what?"
"What love?"
"I love," I got real close and whispered "annoying Edward"
"I'm a tad offended Adeline, I though you said you loved me," Jasper responded with fake sadness and hurt.
"We all know where Adeline's love goes," Alice chirped in, "she will always love annoying Edward more you"
"I mean she's not wrong," I said winking.
The four of us then burst into a pleasant laughter.

"Rose! Rose! Rose!"
"Yes Adeline?"
"Let's have a have a 'We Don't Like Bella Swan' Club night!"
I heard Edward growl from across the house, but choose to ignore it.
"We can go out and go shopping or just go walk around anywhere. Just the two of us."
Rose looked at me, "Why are you being so shady about this?"
I paused to listen around for Jasper or Alice before mouthing, 'I will tell you later'
"I just want to spend time with you Rose, I feel like we never hang out anymore. Pleaseeeeee-"
Rose cut me off smiling, "Fine. Anything to stop that please."
"Race you to the car."

An hour later, Rose and I stood in the middle of a large mall.
"Okay, what's the real reason we are out here," Rose asked as we walked into a store.
"I needed advice on Jasper."
Rose slowed down, "What do you mean?"
"I know what being a mate means and I know that he loves me, but lately I've just been wondering."
"Wondering about what?"
I could feel Rose's emotions turn from happiness to concern. I tried to send a few waves of calm towards her, though it was hard due to my own intense worry.
"What if one day he falls out of it? With all of this Bella stuff going on, I've been thinking. There is no way Bella and Edward will ever work out. What if Jasper and I don't work out either?" I stopped looking over at Rose.
"There's more. Adeline I know you, you are leaving something out. What is it?"
I took a deep not needed breath before speaking, "I had a vision."
"Of what? Why didn't you tell anyone? Why hasn't Edward told anyone?"
"I meant a shield a few years ago, it's a nice power to have. I've been blocking Edward out, you are the only one who knows I had one."
I continued walking in silence for a moment before Rose grabbed my hand and pulled me back, "You're forgetting the most important question. What did you see?"
"I was back with them. I was with the Volturi; red eyes and everything."
"Adeline..." Rose trailed off.
"I don't know how it would happen. I just don't understand. I don't plan on leaving any of you anytime soon, not unless..." I trailed off.
"Adeline, unless what?"
"The only reason I would ever leave, would be if Jasper told me he didn't want me anymore. That he could not be with me."
Rose looked at me with sympathy, "You know that he would never do that."
"Then why would I be having visions of me with the Volturi and drinking human blood."
Through our conversation we had wandered our way back to my car. I unlocked the car, before collapsing into my driver seat.
"I don't understand Rose, I don't understand how I could disappoint you all like that. How I could turn against everything y'all have helped me strengthen? Especially with Edward being in love with a human, how could I go back to the people who would kill you all if they found out? Gosh what is that is why? What if that is what happens?"
"Adeline calm down. You know this will never happen. Jasper would never turn you away and the Volturi will never find out about Bella, even if I have to kill her to make sure of it. You will never be a part of them every again, I promise."
"Rose," I paused for a second, "Please do not promise that."
"Why not Adeline?"
"Because I wasn't exactly truthful when I told you my past." I felt Rose become angered, "I didn't lie, I just withheld a bit of the truth."
"Tell me. Now."
"I didn't freely leave the Volturi Rose. I was gifted a leave on the requirement that I was to return. That's why I still wear the Volturi crest on my bracelet. I have to return when ever Aro finds it fit and required. My freedom is not forever."
Rose gasped, "So you mean, one day you will have to go back? What if they just simply forget about you?"
"They won't. I am painted into a million pictures standing alongside the guard. I will have to go back."

I'm sorry for not updating in forever! I'm writing and I hope to post a lot more. If anyone else is still reading, I'm going to be better. I had plans for this chapter, but they completely changed as I started writing today! I promise I will be better!!
