"Why don't we take this outside?" I said, filled with rage. I understood that I was unavailable when Jasper kissed Alice, but that doesn't change the fact that we are engaged. He promised his future to me, and breaking that meant I wanted to break him and her. "Wait a second," Rose yelled, "What happened?" "Ask those two," Edward spit out. I knew he was my secret favorite for a reason. Alice and Jasper stood dumbfounded in their places, mouths wide open. "I'll say it again. Why don't we take this outside? That way when I rip both of you to pieces, it doesn't ruin Esme's house." "Take it outside," Carlisle said quietly, "We can find out what happened out there." I raced out of the house grabbing a paddle that had been set by the steps, I figured Emmett had left it there after a trip to the lake he speaks so fondly of. I watched as the rest of my family came outside and Edward escorted them down the stairs, to me. "Let me get this straight." "Adeline, please listen-" Alice tried to say. "Oh you shut your mouth. It's not your turn yet, it's Jasper's. Shall we go over the details? Correct me if i'm wrong. First, you ask me to marry you, because I am your mate. The only person for you. Second, I get trapped in my own mind and you continue to plan our wedding. Third, you confess your love for me, waking me up today. Forth, you go into MY meadow with HER, and say you don't want to marry me. Fifth, you share passionate kisses with someone who is not your FIANCÉE!" With every sentence I moved closer to Jasper, twirling the paddle in my hands; truly not caring if I hit him. "He did what?!" I heard Rose exclaim, as the rest of the family gasped. "And now you, Alice Cullen. You promised me that you had no feelings for him. That he was just your best friend. Well let me teach you something, don't put hands on something that isn't yours. He was MINE, not yours!" With that statement I let go of my self control, and punch Alice Cullen in the face. "Adeline-" "OH! So when I put my hands on her, Jasper Cullen finally has a voice? Well I don't want to hear it. You can have this ring back," I said ripping it off and throwing it at him, "And you can have each other. I don't want to talk to either of you. You need something? Find someone else. You want to apologize? Too bad. You see me in the house? You don't say a word or look my direction. Is that clear? I hope it is." I threw the paddle at the two and turned to walk back into the house before I stopped, "And thank you two. For showing me exactly why the Volturi is the perfect place for me. There everyone respects me, unlike my own family." And with that, I walked back into the house. "I will never forgive either of you. She is my best friend, my sister, and you two just pushed her as far as being glad to go back to the Volturi. The day she leaves will be your fault. I hope you never forget that," Rose said with sneer before following me inside with the rest of my family. *** "Adeline, do you truly want to go back?" Rose asked me later. The two of us had been sitting in the living room, watching Edward and Emmett play video games ever since we came back inside. "I think it's the best choice for me. I love you three, Esme, and Carlisle, but I don't know if staying in this house is a good idea. Every time I look around this house, I'm met with the memories of all his broken promises. I can't live in this," my voice softly broke during my last sentence. "I know Adeline," Rose pulled me into a tight hug, "As much as I hate it, I know you need to do what's best for you. Even if that means leaving me for Italy." "Thank you for understanding," I softly whispered. "Though you do have to text, call, and write me ALL OF THE TIME!" "Me too!" "I will keep in constant contact with all of you, I promise." "What are your plans for the rest of your time with us?" "All of this; sitting around simply spending time with all of you. I know Bella's birthday is in a few days, I plan to attend that. Though I do not have a gift for her." "Don't worry about it, Rose put your name on the necklace she got her," Emmett said not even looking away from the tv, "We weren't sure when you be back to land of the living, but we knew you'd kill us if we let you come off as rude." "Well you had that right." With that simple sentence we all started laughing, happiness filling the air. Though this happiness was short lived, as they walked into the house. "Just breathe," I heard Edward whisper to me. I watched them walk into the living room, tension in the room slowly building. "What do you want?" I love Rose so much. She always tries to take care of everything, so that others get hurt as little as possible. "We live here," Alice said quietly. 'Wish you didn't,' my thought made Edward start dying of laughter. Well dying as much as a dead vampire can. "We just want peace," Alice said clearly uncomfortable by the sudden laughter. 'Should have thought of that before you kissed what was mine, but that's none of my business.' "Adeline- Please- Stop- I can't-" Edward said between laughs. "You know that rude, ma'am," Jasper said locking eyes with me. "Oh would you rather me say it aloud? I said I wish y'all didn't live here and you should have though of peace before you kissed something that wasn't yours." "Well we do live here, and you can't change that Adeline. We have been in this family a lot longer than you have, you are here because I loved you," Oh how dare he. Just because I have not been here as long does not mean I am not important to this family. "So you're saying I'm not apart of this family? That I am only here because of you?" I didn't need him to say the answer, I heard the "yes" loud and clear within his thoughts. "Well lucky for you Jasper. I'm leaving, I'm going back to my real family. Tomorrow. You will be lucky if they don't hunt you down for hurting their family member. I hope you realize, one day you will come to your senses and realize you ruined the best thing to ever happen to you." "I don't think I did," he then turned to Alice kissing her passionately. I turned on my heel and walked calmly back to the couch. I wasn't going to let him see me upset, even if I was breaking on the inside. I saw Edward and Emmett pick up a pillows and through them at the two. I laughed mentally at their actions, sending them both soft smiles. "I guess I'm not going to Bella's birthday after all," I said trying to laugh, but all I could think about was the next day; the day my new-old life would begin. *** We love drama.
