School. The dreaded place, that I had hoped to never have to go to. Despite this, when Esme told me about the need for us all to return to school at the start of the year, I had to agree. Esme had become my own weak spot, I never wanted to disappoint her in any way. In a slow weeks time, the rest of the family and myself would be attending Forks High School, and I knew none of us were looking forward to it.

The following Monday, I stood in the garage with the rest of my family trying to help decide who's cars we would be taking. The conversation had been going smoothly as every family member wanted to take there own cars, yet also wanted to ride with their mates or siblings.
"Emmett and Adeline both can just simply get over it, and get in my with me," growled Rosalie, the angriest of us all.
"Rose," I started, "I'm more than willing to
ride with you, but Jasper must ride with us."
"As if I'd go without you ma'am," Jasper said while grabbing on my waist.
"Alice," Edward started," why don't we ride together in the Volvo?"
Finally, this heated debate was over and we could make our way to school. As Jasper and I got into Rosalie's jeep, I slid my hand into his. I used my power to mirror his own power onto himself, feeling his fear, doubt and anxiety radiate off of him. I knew he was doubting his own self control, as I was doubting my own as well.
"Jasper?" I asked quietly.
"Yes love."
"I want you to know that I love you, and I believe in you."
Instead of responding, Jasper lightly cupped my face and kissed me passionately.
"I know it was rude of me to not respond ma'am, but I do hope my action sufficed."
I giggled before saying, "I'm not sure sir, you may have to do it again."
Everyone in the car laughed before Jasper and I shared another kiss.

Upon receiving our schedules, the siblings and I compared our schedules. I was quickly pleased to see that I had every class with Jasper, and a couple classes with the other siblings.
"Adeline," Edward started clearly annoyed with me, "stop calling us the siblings. You're our family, now and forever; get used to it."
I smiled at him, realizing that he truly cared.
"Fine Edwort. I'll try my hardest," I winked at him.
He sighed at his new nickname before opening the door of the office for us all to exit.
I walked with Jasper to our first class, US history, I already could tell this class would be fun. Jasper had shared his past with me, and I now knew his history in the Civil War. When we entered the classroom, the teacher told us that seats could be chosen at our own will, but also stated that "seats are final and can not be changed." Jasper and I quickly made our way to the very back of the classroom, sitting at a table just the two of us.
When the teacher began speaking of rules and expectations, I grabbed a paper and scribbled a note to Jasper.
'Honey, I have a secret for you.'
'And what is that ma'am?'
'I love you, and this class stinks. Quite literally.'
Jasper had to pause to contain a laugh, 'It smells like humans.'
'I know, I don't like it.'
'I know. Neither do I.'
I sighed and grabbed his hand , 'Girl in the pink shirt keeps looking at you. If I do go crazy, make sure I attack her first.'
Jasper laughed quietly next to me, 'I'll remember that.'

The rest of our classes before lunch went the same as US history: passing notes between my family, and "listening" to the teachers speak.
Lunch I knew was going to be my least favorite thing, humans in room with no escape. Suddenly, my head was filled with thoughts. What if I can't contain myself? Esme is putting too much trust in me. What if I lose it and it causes problems for the others? What if-
My thoughts were soon replaced by a wave of calming feeling, that I knew had came from Jasper.
"Thank you," I said stepping closer to him.
"I believe in you," he spoke softly before opening the cafeteria door.
The smell was overtaking, it over took all my senses. I felt Jasper tense up next to me, and I put all my energy into focusing on him. I knew all eyes were on my family as we walked in, so I decided to distract myself and cause a little fun.
I grabbed Jasper's hand, pulling him into the middle of the walk way before kissing him; I could tell he was pleasantly surprised as he kissed back. When we pulled away, I turned to the people staring and blew them all a sweet kiss before going and sitting at a table that was empty. Jasper sat next to me, pulling my chair closer to him, and Alice sat on my other side. When Emmett sat down, he raised his hand for a high five.
"That's one way to teach people not to stare," he spoke through his laughter.
"Hey, my time in the south may have been short lived, but I do like to believe I have some type of manners, and so I know staring is rude. Right sir?" I turned to Jasper who had been staring at me as I spoke.
"Why you are right ma'am, but you'll have to excuse my lack of manners. There's a beautiful lady sitting next to me that I just cant seem to take eyes off."
Our sweet moment was short lived when Edwort made a gagging sound, that annoying little-
"Hey now," Edward spoke, "remember your 'manners.'"
I rolled my eyes at him before turning to Alice, hoping she would distract and entertain me.

The rest of the school day went by painfully slow. When the last bell rang, I practically ran out of the school.
"Freedom at last!" I dramatically collapsed onto the hood of the Jeep.
"Don't you dare dent my car," Rosalie said laughing.
"If I do, I'll buy you a new one. How's that?" I laughed as I spoke.
"Get in the car loser," Emmett said being a major bully.
"Okay Emmy," I said squeezing his cheeks, "I'll get in the car before your little brain can have another thought."
I quickly got in the car before he could put together what I had just said.
"What? Wait.. Adeline!"
Everyone looked at each other before we all fell into a pleasant laughter.
This was my family, and I loved it and them.
