Edward had now been gone five days. Five days of that girl watching, my family, for any sign of him. She'd watch as we got out of cars, and look again when we entered the cafeteria. It took all I had not to tell her to go get a life.
"He's coming home Sunday," Alice interrupted me from my thoughts.
"Good for him," Rose and I growled at the same time.
I sighed sitting back into my chair, "Hey Rose?"
"Yes?"
"We have two more Edwort free days, lets make the most of them," I had a smirk resting on my face.
"Room makeover?" Rose spoke back, with a matching smirk.
-
Two days later, Edwort's room was covered in pink girly posters, and his closet was stocked with dresses. Every cabinet was full of glitter just waiting to be sprayed at him, a touch of my own doing. Esme had originally had attempting to stop our plan, but I had a feeling that deep down she approved.
"Show time," Alice said laughing.
I heard Edwort enter the house, and followed Alice into the living room.
"Oh, I've missed you," Esme said pulling him into a tight hug.
"It is good to have you back bro," Emmett said giving him a high five.
I just realized Emmett gives a lot of high fives, it's like that is all he knows how to do.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you were correct," Edwort said commenting on my thoughts.
"No. You don't get to leave then come back and immediately go into my mind ike everything is fine," I said seriously.
"I understand," he replied backing away from me.
My anger was soon replaced by a feeling of calm, as Jasper walked to my side. I smiled up at him before bringing him into a tight hug. I had spent the past two days with Rose working on Edwort's room, and had not spent time with Jasper.
"Date night?" I asked him.
"I wouldn't want to spend my night any other way."
"Let me go change, and we'll be set to go," I turned to make my way up the stairs, but was interrupted when Edwort started yelling.
"WHO DID THIS TO MY ROOM?"
I turned quickly to Jasper, "Better yet, I can go wearing this."
-
Jasper and I made our way to one of our favorite date places, a small and quite coffee shop. During the car ride, Jasper and I talked about the south.
"I wonder if their morals are the same as they were back in my days," Jasper asked tilting his head towards me slightly.
I laughed before saying, "Well slavery is not legal so, probably not."
Jasper had shared his past with me shortly after I had explained my own past to the whole family.
"Oh hush you," he said back laughing with me.
"We should talk everyone into going to somewhere south when we leave here."
"That is a wonderful idea ma'am."
"Maybe Edwort would learn some real manners."
"You're too hard on him," Jasper said seriously, "he didn't choose for his mate to be human."
"I know he didn't," I sighed, "but that doesn't change that he's putting all of us in danger."
Jasper looked at me out of the corner of his eye, "You're not telling me everything."
I paused to look at him before speaking again, "Your family is one of the first places I've felt secure in, and I don't want anything to happen to any of you; especially because of a human."
Jasper pulled into a parking spot before turning to me seriously, "Adeline I promise you, nothing will happen to our family or us. I love you and that's forever no matter what."
I kissed him quickly before turning to get out the car. Jasper met me at the front of the car, and we walked into the shop hand in hand.
-
"Are you sure you two don't want a coffee?"
We had been inside for around 30 minutes, and a worker kept constantly walking up to us asking if we wanted coffee.
"No ma'am. Thank you though," Jasper said quickly before I could respond to the annoying woman.
"Let me know if you change your mind," the lady winked at Jasper before walking away.
I felt Jasper's strong arm holding me in place as she walked away, knowing I didn't take the wink well.
"I don't like people flirting with you," I said furrowing my brows together.
"I know, but you can't just attack them."
"Says who?" I laughed, making sure he knew I was joking.
"What do you think Edward will do about Bella?"
"Oh is that her name? Umm I don't actually know, but knowing him he'll risk it all for her."
"I think so too."
"I'm glad I met you when I did, I would have preferred earlier, but now is perfect," I said as he grabbed my hand once again.
**
So I know the last two chapters have both been fillers, but I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to happen while Edward was gone and of course didn't want to leave it out. I promise the next chapter will be better; I hope.
Update to the note: Here's an early update since I was late last week, and since I'll be on a cruise tomorrow!!
