What happens in College

Chapter one. Meeting

Mari's pov
My name is Mari Takahashi, I'm 18 years old, graduated high school and starting college.
I want to go to California Learners College(I made the name up)because it's been my dream to go there.
Today I'm going to the college for a tour to see if I really fit in. I'm so excited to check it out but I'm a bit nervous about the other students but hopefully I'll make some friends and get a nice roommate.
I pull up into the parking lot and park up, I get out my car and head to the main building. As I make my way round to find the tour group of new students, I bump into someone.
"Oh I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" A sweet, male voice asks me. I look up to see a tall, handsome man with long brown hair and brown eyes looking at me with a worried expression.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I reassure him and smile. He smiles back at me, his smile is so warm and adorable.
"I was just looking for the tour group. I'm starting here today" He tells me and I remember I'm looking for the tour group too.
"I'm also looking for the tour group because I'm also starting today" I tell him and he smiles even more. His smile just makes my heart swell.
"Well maybe we can look together" He suggests.
"Ok" I reply, smiling.
"But wait" I say and he looks at me.
"I never got your name"
"My name's Wesley but call me Wes" Wes says and smiles again.
"Nice to meet you Wes. My name's Mariko but call me Mari" I tell him, smiling and we begin walking together through the building and finally find the tour group.
We walk around and get shown where everything is, like the dorms, library, classes, cafe, study areas and gym.
After the tour, we get a chance to explore before our dorms are ready.
I decided to hang out with Wes so we sit on the grass and get to know each other.
"So tell me a bit about yourself" Wes tells me.
"Well I grew up in San Francisco, my parents are very strict but supportive, my favourite food is Indian food. I like dancing, I HATE dresses and I love playing video games. What about you?" I tell him.
"I grew up in Ohio, my parents are strict with me too, I like cake, donuts and cookies but LOVE candy and chocolate, I'm asthmatic, allergic to bananas and love playing video games but my favourite is Legend of Zelda" Wes tells me, smiling.
"Wow, you really seem to like anything to do with sweets" I laugh.
"And since we both like video games maybe we can play together?" Wes suggests.
"Yeah I'd like that" I reply, smiling at him.
"Well I think it's time for me to go to my room and meet my roommate" I say, standing up.
Wes agrees and stands up too.
"Bye Wes" I say and turn around to leave but Wes grabs my arm.
"Uh Mari do you want to go have coffee with me tomorrow?" He asks me, blushing a little. He so sweet and cute.
"Sure. See you tomorrow at 11?" I ask.
"Yeah" He replies.
"See you tomorrow"
"Bye" I say and turn around again and head towards the dorms to get a room key and head to my dorm room.
I reach the door to my room and stand outside for a minute to get ready to meet my roommate.
"Here goes nothing" I think to myself then unlock and open the door.

Sorry I've been gone for so long, it's just that I've finished my other story and I've been thinking about making another one, and finally I just told myself "Screw it and start writing" And I did so I hope you enjoy my first chapter and I will update again soon. Thank you!
