Chapter five Classes and Confessions

Mari's pov
It's the day after my day out with Wes and my first day of class.
I decide to wear something cool and comfortable because it's pretty hot today.

I get my bag ready and look at my phone to check the time.
"Boze! Come on!" I shout to get her to hurry up.
"I'm brushing my hair!" She shouts back.
I sigh and wait.
"Ok. I'm ready. Let's go" She says, coming out the bathroom.

"Ok. Let's go" I reply and walk out the door.

Wes's pov
Classes begin today and we're going to be late.

Joven is a fun guy to have as a roommate but he's so slow and lazy.
"Joven! We're going to be late!" I shout.
"Give me two more minutes!" He shouts.
I groan and sit on my bed.
I quickly think back to last night and think about how annoying Joven was.

*Flashback*
I walk through the door to my dorm with a big smile on my face.
"How was it?" Joven asks me from his bed.
"To be honest, it was great" I reply and sit on my bed.
"Do you love her?" He suddenly asks.
I look at him with confusion.
"What?" I ask.
"Well, this morning you seemed eager to see her and you just walked in with a big smile. So do you?" He explains.
I don't answer, I just give him an unamused look and walk into the bathroom to change into my pjs.
I won't admit to him that I do love Mari because I don't want him on my case.

*Flashback*
So yeah I'll admit to myself and maybe Mari but not to Joven.
"We can go now" Joven announces, coming out the bathroom and getting his bag.

"Finally" I exclaim and get my bag then head out the door.
I make my way over to the computer room to study.

Mari's pov
My classes went pretty well now I'm heading to the cafeteria to get some lunch.
I get a soda and a salad and sit down at a table. After I sit down I get a text.
I look at my phone to see it's from Wes.
Wes😀💘: Hey Mari where are you? I'm just leaving the computer room.
Me: I'm in the cafeteria, eating lunch.
Wes😀💘: Ok. I'm on my way.
I put my phone away and start eating my salad.
I then look to the entrance of the cafeteria and see Wes walk in. He looks around for a few seconds then looks at me, smiling and walking over.
"Hey" He greets and sits down.
"Hey" I greet back, smiling.
"So how was class?" He asks me.
"It was great. Two guys got into a fight over a pencil, a girl got kicked out for singing and another girl walked in then straight back out" I explain and Wes laughs.
"I just spent my time on the computers studying" He replies.
We talked some more and I finished my lunch.
"Can we talk about last night?" I ask him.
Wes looks worried at my question but nods and we both stand up and leave the cafe.
We go to our now usual spot on the grass and sit down.
"Why do you want to talk about it?" Wes asks, I take a deep breath and look at him.
"Well when I got back to my dorm, my roommate started asking me questions and asked... if I love you" I tell him.
He looks at me with mixed expressions, like hope and worry.
"And do... do you?" He asks, nervously.
"Well I thought back to our time together at the lake and... I'm in love with you Wes" I confess.
Wes looks at me in shock then smiles the happiest smile I've ever seen on his face.
He wraps his arms around me and hugs me.
"I love you too Mari" He whispers into my ear.
We pull away and I smile, widely.
We then lean in and kiss.
I'm so happy that I confessed my love to him and to find out that he feels the same way.
We pull away from the kiss and smile at each other.
I turn around to lie down and lay my head on Wes lap and for the rest of the day we stay here, talking and laughing while Wes plays with my hair.
I guess now me and Wes are official.

Wes's pov
She loves me. Mari actually loves me. She said it herself and I told her I love her.
I've never been so happy to be with the girl I love who is the one, my soul mate.
