Mari's pov I turn around with Jenny in my arms but the most shocking thing happens which makes me freeze. Wes is on one knee with a ring in his hand. I stare him straight in the eye, mouth agape and questioning myself if I'm dreaming. "Mari, I understand that this might be too soon but I want to spend the rest of my life with you and Jenny. I want us to be a real family. Mari Takahashi? Will you marry me?" Wes proposes. Tears stream down my face for the third time today, as I cover my mouth with one hand and carefully hold Jenny with the other. I really think about my answer. Yes it is too soon but I love Wes so much and I do want us to be a proper family. I nod and kneel down to him. "Yes. Yes I will!" I exclaim, happily. Wes's smile brightens and he slides the ring on my finger.

I look at the beautiful ring and kiss Wes. We pull away and stand up. Jenny starts fussing and Wes takes her into his arms. I lay back in the bed and watch Wes bounce our daughter to calm her down. I smile at the sight as I notice that he's a good dad. I then drift off to sleep and wake up to Jenny crying. Wes is asleep in the chair next to the bed. I stand up and go to the crib and pick up Jenny to stop her crying, I then realise that I haven't fed her today so she must be hungry. I sit on the edge of the bed and pull down my hospital gown to breastfeed her. When she's finished, I burp her and hum to her to send her back to sleep. As soon as she's asleep, I lay her back in the crib and go back to bed. The next morning, I wake up to Wes drinking coffee. He notices I'm awake and smiles at me. "Morning honey" He says. "Morning baby" I reply, stretching. We stay in the room for an hour, waiting for my parents and taking care of Jenny's needs. My mom finally arrives with a bag of clothes for me and Jenny. I get changed.

She looks so cute in this outfit. We sign out of the hospital and head to the car with a new addition to the family. When we get home, we meet my dad at the front door and he has a surprise for me. My mom takes Jenny from my arms and hands her to Wes. My dad then covers my eyes and guides me through the house, to a room. I then hear Wes gasp so I want to see what it is. My dad takes his hands away from my eyes. My eyes light up with happiness as I walk around a beautiful, pink nursery for Jenny.

I cry tears of joy as I hug my parents and thank them. They then leave while Wes and I stay in the nursery and play with Jenny. Life is going great for us and soon, when me and Wes get married, we'll be even happier.
