Chapter 10
2 weeks later
Grace's POV:
"Well, that could've gone better." Ali said from beside me. All of us were currently tilting our heads and looking at our drawing of the mural we had created for Talent Exchange.
"That mouth doesn't look right." Cait said, pointing out the error on one of Ren's faces that she had drawn. Lauren went up to it with a *rubber and fixed the positioning.
"That looks better, but what's with the demon unicorn that looks like it's gonna bite my head off?" I smirked and raised my hand.
"Guilty." Caitlin had been particularly overbearing these last couple of weeks. I think that all the filming was finally getting to her.
"I kinda like it. At least it will remind you not to go all ape shit crazy on us when the singing starts." Ali snarkily added. This made my vicious friend frown and turn her back on us. I was momentarily confused.
"For a second I thought she was gonna..." But Alison was cut off when green paint came in contact with her face.
"Karma is a bitch... But so am I." Caitlin said proudly, twirling a green tipped paint brush in her hand. The only way to describe Ali's face would've been livid. Uh oh, this is not gonna be good, My mind thought. As a precaution, I took several steps back so I was out of the firing line. It was about 5pm after school and we were in an arts room while wearing our own clothes. In an attempt of retaliation, Ali grabbed the nearest tube of paint and paintbrush and flicked it in Cait's direction. However, because of her awesome reflexes, Caitlin managed to duck and the splatters of yellow acrylic paint connected with Lauren's face. Her reaction went from surprised to pissed in the matter of 0.2 seconds.
"Oooo, your gonna get it now..." Caitlin said cryptically to Alison who flinched back at Lauren's threatening form. Ren's left eye was violently twitching. Snap, some serious shit was about to go down with these three. I might just sit... And record this fight... Maybe send it to everyone we know later. I pulled out a stool from under a desk and sat down but not before checking that the camcorder was still functional. When I was reassured that it was, I relaxed and watched this award worthy drama unfold.
"Take this bitch!" Lauren finally exploded and squirted blue paint, taking Ali by surprise.
"Holy... You look like a bloody smurf!" Caitlin was now clutching her stomach from laughing to hard. I had to bite my lip in order to stop from joining her. In all honesty, Ali did look like a modified version of Smurfette.
"Yeah? Well let's see how you like looking like *Wotsit." With that, my blue eyed friend was covered in orange paint. As it approached 5:30, my friends could've gone to a fancy dress party and said they we're there as rainbows. From my place near the door, I could here footsteps approaching.
"What the hell happened to you three?!" Caleb, Jaydon, Luca and Jasper all yelled in unison. They had just finished their football practice. I was still sitting in my spot but I had a smirk on my face. Miraculously, our drawing didn't have an ounce of paint on it... It just happened to be all over my friends.
"You guys look like a rainbow threw up on you." Jasper said to no-one in particular.
"I agree with Jas, but it looks like it came back for round two." Luca said while fist bumping Jaspers hand.
"How did this happen?" Jaydon had his arms crossed and was giving the girls a disapproving look.
"Maybe this video will explain it." I finally piped up.
