Chapter 11
Caleb's POV:
By the end of the week, the girls had managed to achieve their finished copy of their singing. The composition consisted of R&B, Pop, Pop Punk and Rock. The actual songs were Ain't if fun by Paramore, Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne, Melodies by Madison Beer and We found love by Rihanna. So, basically songs by women. For some reason, the girls had decided to change the original song choices into more different genres. With the help of Adam, they managed to get many takes on each song everyday of the week; with the whole piece being recorded on Friday... Meaning today.
"Should we add choreography to the songs?" Lauren asked casually as Luca and I set up the microphones for the recording.
"NO!!!" Was the collective answer given to her by Alison, Caitlin and mire importantly, Grace because she wouldn't be able to dance even if her life depended in it.
"Yeah, and while we're dancing, how about one of us becomes a temporary flamethrower?" Grace retorts sarcastically. I smirk. At least she's back to her usual self.
"Geez, I'm sorry for bringing it up!" Lauren replied with a pout on her face.
"It's ok Renren, I liked your idea." Jaydon said in a sickly sweet voice while wrapping his arms around his girlfriend in a consoling way. It soon led to making out. All I did was roll my eyes. Grace, however, decided to go for a more immature method and pretended to gag by sticking her finger in her mouth.
"Yo! No PDA in hall." Jasper yelled at the same time Luca shouted:
"My eyes! My innocent eyes!" That was when the couple realised that they weren't behind closed doors but rather in a place where anyone could walk in.
I stepped towards Luca and patted his shoulder.
"Mate, your eyes are anything but innocent if your search history is anything to go by." A smirk appeared on my face while his eyes went wide and his face flushed.
"Sh... Shut up!" Luca stuttered out after punching me in the chest.
"What was that? Man, you punch like a girl." I baited him. If everything went well, I would be running out in 5... 4...3... 2 and:
"Run, Sinclair!" There we have it. Luca yelled, giving me a head start before chasing after me.
"Move that ass Markham! Gotta prove to Mr Woodworth you belong on the team." I goaded him to run faster. Let's just say I live for the thrill of being hunted down. Kind of sadistic if you ask me to answer honestly.
"When I get my hands on you Caleb, I'm going to impale you with one of the goal posts." The smirk fell off my face. Being killed by something that I enjoy. Great.
Apparently, thinking and running at the same time slows your pace. I only figured this out when Luca tackled me to the floor and started to punch and slap me. All I did was laugh which caused him to give me quite a hard slap.
"The fuck?! I expected you to punch me not bitch slap! Anyway, I've had worse than that. Grace slapped me once when I asked what kind of underwear she was wearing." The rambling was enough to distract Luca and also enough to cause him to burst out laughing.
"What *laugh* were we *laugh* fighting about again?" He said inbetween chuckles. I stared at him in his slap happy mood and shrugged.
"Don't remember." My answer was brief in hope that he'd drop the subject.
"Oh, ok. Let's get back to the others. Although I'm afraid that Jay might be making out with Lauren again." He smiled while offering me a hand up off the grass. Luckily for me, it was actually sunny and dry today so my uniform wasn't wet. We made our way back to the hall only to find the couple in a an intense game of tonsil tennis.
