THE SWORD AND THE SICKLE
PART TWO
CHAPTER ELEVEN
STATE OF THE UNION
The night of January 23rd, 1995, President Smithson returned from Camp David. he had only one more meeting; he would meet with the Democratic National Committee before the State of the Union Address, and with their guidance, he hoped for solidarity on how to build a party platform for the upcoming campaign. The Secret Service Agents prepared for every detail for his return to the White House, and he felt safe. As he walked from the helicopter pad, one shot rang out. The hollow point bullet struck a half-inch above his right ear and exploded inside his brain. A fine mist of blood showered the air, and the sweet metallic smell of death left no doubt. He was dead before his body struck the ground. No one found the gunman or woman, although the search was historic in scope. Extras hit the street-- reading, "PRESIDENT ASSASSINATED!" Others read, "WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER?" Sworn into office, immediately, was the controversial Vice President, Claire McDowell, the first woman to become President of the United States of America.
Claire had trouble sleeping that night. She knew President Smithson's day would come, because her Lord Levi had told her, yet the finality of his death still hit hard. After so long, she began to believe that her encounter with Levi had been nothing more than a dream. Now, she truly believed that she would be the last president of the United States of America. She realized that survivors wrote history, and she wondered how they would portray her. Restlessly, she tossed and turned in her bed. She counted sheep, she counted backwards from one hundred, and still she could not slow her racing mind. She thought about taking sleep medication, but at the last minute, she decided to pray. Closing her eyes, she said the only prayer that would come to mind, "Now I lay me down to sleep. If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to keep." She repeated it until she felt her body jerk as her mind slowed down. Soon, she lost track of her thoughts and began to hear wonderful music. Then a vision of an angelic choir appeared before her mind's eye, and suddenly an elderly woman appeared in a pew in front of her.
The woman said, "Claire it is time you learn how to open your eye...how soon we forget." The women stretched out her arm and with her left hand, touched her eyelid that covered her third eye, and pried it open. Her field of vision was filled with brilliant light. Everything began to radiate its own light. Down the center of the sanctuary strolled Levi.
He said, "Claire, it is time for you to turn loose the children of Lucifer."
She replied, "My Lord, why would I turn against you?"
"Without your betrayal, I cannot be released from this mortal shell."
"But Lord, I truly believe in you. For the first time, my life makes sense. Why would I risk my salvation?"
"You, like Judas, will be my faithful servant. Until you betray me, I cannot come to save the world in my true form. Worry, not your salvation is safe, and your spirit will find favor with the Lord, Adonai. When the children of Lucifer kill me, my servants will avenge my death and drive your enemies to the sea. When they complete their mission, they will turn over my two-edged sword to you. Many followers will see this betrayal as the cause, and I will allow many to fall away. You will rule with an iron fist over the nation, and my cherubim will serve you. Many will find peace within your power. Before I give you such power, I will teach you what it means to wield such control. I will take you to the edge of the universe and show you such wonder that when you do rule, you will rule with strength and greatness."
After Levi showed her the deeper understanding of the universe Claire replied, "I comprehend everything, Lord, for the first time I know that I have been since the beginning. The universe, it is so beautiful and meaningful. We are your thoughts, your inner being, and your expression of love. Your Voice is the strings, which bind us together...but why me, Lord? Why did you create me?"
"You are a part of me, as are all beings in existence. You are because I am."
"Yes, Lord Levi. I will do as you command. May my hand rule with power, confidence, and wisdom?"
Levi replied, "And so it will be...my wife will be with you, and gird you with her power and love. In the End of Days, I will come for you."
The next morning, she called Alderman and asked, "Are they ready?"
"Yes, Ma'am President."
"Send them to me. I want them here by five pm."
Henry hung up the phone with General Abrams. He wasn't sure his children were ready. However, Alderman told him that the President wanted them and she would get them. He had used a huge container to transport them to secret areas on the base for training and could use it to transport them to D.C. Two months earlier when they first emerged from their cocoon, he couldn't believe his eyes. He had been preparing himself for the outcome, but not in is wildest imagination could he had imagined this.
