THE SWORD AND SICKLE

PART ONE

CHAPTER SIX

DEAD BODY IN THE OVAL OFFICE

"Angela, is that possible?" The Former President asked.

"Sure, a lot of people are believed to have seizures and never know about it. Some of them are documented to be driving, and they react to traffic automatically when they become aware and can't remember anything about the past twenty miles or so. If Levi is as powerful as you say, then he would have no problem creating these situations to suit."

"You have been of great help to the country, Angela. You are free to go."

"I am curious sir, your doctor could have told you all about this, why did you not confide in him?"

"I couldn't risk his freedom. He has many patients who depend on him. If I told him, then he would know too much."

"Then why are you letting me go?"

"If Levi is protecting you, and I am sure he is, then we couldn't contain you even if we wanted, but remember, for sure, the government is watching you, whatever good that'll do. At least you told me his plans. We must prepare ourselves."

"If you cannot stop him, what are you to do, sir?"

"We do everything we can to stop him. He told me that it wouldn't happen until I had retired. I will just put off my retirement, I guess. I must believe he will keep his word. Anyway, if he is the Lord, I couldn't stop him anyway. I just hate losing control. He has forced my hand. From the condition of Dianne Menisci, I guess I am a very lucky man."

"Yes, sir, but I doubt it was luck. We did nothing that accounts for your condition today. I am the nurse, as they call the angel of death. I very seldom get to see miracles by the time I am brought in on a case. Maybe God is on your side, and not Levi's."

As Angela left the building, she felt guilty about lying to the President, but in her heart, she believed that Levi was indeed God on Earth, and she could not tell Former President Hammett that she was going to British Columbia. If she had, then every member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would be waiting for her to come. She was not going to defy her religious beliefs for any man or any nation. God had suddenly become much more important to her than ever before. For sure, she would have to change her name and look. Levi wanted her to be undetectable, then she would be undetectable.
